PART 12:

The days were passing by quickly and Arnav and Kushi dint interact much after their last meeting together.

They stayed away from each other as much as possible and were behaving as strangers.

The engagement of Shyam and Anjali got over and it was soon the day of the marriage.

Even though Arnav and Kushi were not conversing with each other much they have started understanding the goodness of each other and had stopped hating each other.

Kushi admired Arnav's love for his sister and family and also the way in which he manages everything

In the meantime Arnav admired Kushi's innocence and bubbly nature and how she spread happiness everywhere.

Though the hatred was slowly fading away they were still hesitant to talk to each other as they were feeling an unknown feeling for the other and they were yet to realize what it was.

On the day on marriage:

The marriage was taking place in the Raizada mansion and the whole mansion was in a hustle bustle with people roaming all over and checking the preparations.

Arnav was busy checking that everything was perfect as he din't want any mistake in his only sister's marriage.

He was ordering the workers when he felt a gust of wind and looked up in the direction only to see Kushi descending the stairs wearing a red and yellow lehanga ( the one she wore for her sangeet) and looking like an angel.

Arnav forgot everything else and kept staring at her with his piercing gaze.

Kushi felt a strong gaze on her and looked up only to find Arnav looking nothing less than a prince in his sherwani.

Both of them couldn't look away from each other.

They kept looking at each other everything forgetting the surroundings.

Their trance was broken by the sounds of the bands playing.

Both immediately looked away unable to face each other.

Arnav looked how Kushi's cheeks had gained a red color and smirked whereas Kushi just looked away blushing.

After this both got busy in the marriage preparations and forgot about their previous encounter.

The marriage was over and the whole mansion was filled with joy.

But Kushi noticed that Arnav was missing after the marriage.

She felt something was wrong so wanted to see if he was alright.

She went in search of him and finally found him staring at the pool lost in thoughts.

She cleared her throat to notify her presence. But Arnav dint seem to notice that.

So she kept a hand on his shoulder.

He turned around and Kushi saw that his eyes were red.

Arnav: what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with everyone?

Kushi: I can ask you the same question. Anyways I noticed you were missing so came in search of you.

Arnav's heart warmed thinking she noticed that he was missing and came in search of him.

Arnav: hmmm. I wanted some fresh air. I don't like all these crowd and noises.

Kushi could tell that this wasn't the real reason. She knew that he is upset because Anjali babhi has to leave.

Kushi: it's ok to let your guard down sometimes.

Arnav looked at her questioningly

Kusi: I know you are upset that Anjali babhi is leaving this house.

Arnav looked at her in awe thinking how she understood him.

He hugged her suddenly and then started crying

Kushi was shocked for a moment due to the sudden action but she gathered herself quickly and hugged him back.

Arnav: I am close to di even more than my parents. She's the one who named me chotte. Every time I got into some mischief she's the one who would save me from the scolding. She takes care of me like her own child. Now am unable to digest that she is going.

Kushi silently listened to him and pulled herself from the hug and cupped his face with both her hands.

Kushi: look our houses are only 15mins far. Whenever you want you can come and see her. I know it's tough but that's how a girl's life is meant to be. Don't think that you have lost your sister. You have gained a family. Shyam bhai, amma, babuji everyone adores you and you always be welcome. You have to be strong for her. She is leaving her family to start her new life. She can't be happy unless you are.

Saying this she removed her hands and wiped his tears.

Arnav just smiled at her. Now after pouring everything to her he felt a little relieved

Kushi: anyways you are better off as a lad governor this crying face doesn't suit you.

Arnav: what did you say?

Kushi: lad governor lad governor lad governor

Arnav knew she was doing this only to make him feel better so he decided to play along with her.

Arnav: so I'm a lad governor

Kushi: yes of course

He closed the distance between them and held her by her waist. His breath was fanning over her and her hear was racing. He whispered in her ears

Arnav: say it again

Kushi: la..laad governor she stammered in a whisper affected by his proximity

They both were looking at each other lost in each other.

Suddenly his phone rings breaking their trance. Kushi quickly gets away from his hold and runs away from him.

Arnav looks at her retreating back with a smile on his face.

Superb story.
Family playing cupids, awesome concept. So the hatred faded now. Hope their families mission be achieved soon. Would love to read more of this story
