First, he persuaded close buddy Sajid Nadiadwala to take over as director of the Hindi adaptation of the Telugu blockbuster Kick(2009).And now Salman Khan has convinced author Chetan Bhagat to write the film's screenplay.

When contacted, Chetan said, 'I've known Salman from the time of Hello, the movie version of my novel One Night At The Call Centre. I wanted to work with him ever since. While we could easily regurgitate the entire Telugu film into Hindi, the challenge here is to restructure the original screenplay. When I saw the original film, I loved it but I felt there is potential to take the content deeper. Sajid too makes his directorial debut with Kick. I've shared a comfort level with him ever since he got the film rights of my novel 2 States. His vision for Kick is huge. I hope I am able to make his vision come true."

On his part, Sajid said, "I am really happy to have Chetan to write the screenplay and Rajat Arora to do the dialogues. I didn't want to turn director without being sure of the writing

I hope Chetan turns out to be a better screen-play writer than he is a novelist! Actually, he might do a great job as a script-writer, since most of his books do seem more like movie scripts rather than a proper book!😆

who is playing opposite to Salman in Kick, DP/PC/AS/SS/KK/KKK?😆

Why bother with a screenplay writer? Who watches Salman's films for things like direction, script, screenplay?

its already a remake!!!! juss do a scene by scene copy and add some salman masala with some loud music n a rahat/mohit sufi style gaana blockbuster aur kya chahiye...
