From analysis , there are 7 factors required to make it big to bollywood specially for an outsider and non star kid or TV actor
1. A good PH, banner and a great director
2. Established co-actors and
3. A big budget glamorous movie with good launch.
4. promoted well
5. Strong character/Role
6. Looks, X-factor and Talent
7. Luck
8. Godfather

i will not include script in the list as i am referring to factor required to make ACTORS successful. not MOVIES
Good scripts can make a film superhit , but there is no gurantee for actors to becomes successful with superhit films
Biggest example are Gracy singh , rajeev khandelwal, prachi desai, R Madhavan who having superhit debut films(lagaan, aamir, Rockon, three idiots), but they got unnoticed as a LEAD everytime.
where actors like Ranbir Kapoor, is a superstar even with a flop debut saawariyaa

we dont have luck in our hands and outsider has no godfathers , so lets discuss other factors
there are some outsider with no godfather , non stars kid TV actor making it big to bolly ... i am discussing the reasons.
1. SRK and vidya balan : they was having supports from big banners, great director. have worked with established co actors , had bid budget glamourous movie,they are promoted well, had strong characters in movies to impact the audience . X factor and lucks .
they had all 1-6 factors except 7th.
No doubt they made it great in BW.

2. Rajeev khandelwal : Even though RK first BW movie was launched by god PH (UTV), had strong character, looks x-factor. BUT it lacks 2nd and 3rd points, establisher co actor was not there and aamir wasa small budget movie.
so his carrier never settled in BW.

3. Gracy Singh: lagaan and munnabhai was superhit. At the time there was so much hype around her that she was touted as the next big thing in BW. But she never got strong role in any of the two movie . either in lagaan or munnabhai and she also lacked X factor i.e. 5th and 6th factor
so she could not made it successful inspite of superhit movie debut movie lagaan n munnabhai .

so if we practically compare these situations with sushant in KPC.
he has got good PH, great director, strong role(lead), looks and x factor . but it lacks established co actor and KPC is also a small budget movie like aamir.

sushant case looks like similar to Rajeev in KPC. so this means there is no gurantee to success as BW hero even if KPC becomes a hit.

now comes to PK.
even having established co actors like aamir anushka , good PH great director raju hirani.
infact PK has all factors for suahnt except 5th i.e strong role, because story revolve around aamir
so this situation semms to be like Gracy Singh who does not get strong role coz strory revolved aroung aamir in lagaan and sanjay dutt in munnabhai . garcy did not have much scope to perform . PK also not guarantee success for sushant BW carrier.

so i want sushant next film has everything , all 7 factors from a good PH , great director , strong character and established heroine to romance.

NOTE: Firstly my post is not to offend fan as i am too sushant fan . i am expecting a healthy discussing on it

If we start looking at things like that...the prospects of a newcomer like Sushant with no Bollywood connections look pretty dismal...😭

As you mentioned...2 of the most successful stars in BW happen to be SRK and VB. Interestingly enough neither of them had any Bolly ties...at least to my knowledge...and both come from a TV background.

SRKs first movie was Deewana. I don't know if it was a big banner film...but it had good music and SRK left a great impression in the minds of producers directors and audiences alike...that's despite him showing up only in the second half.

Vidya's first Hindi movie was Parineeti. She had a good strong role, and proved she was a strong actress...but I don't know how well the movie did. And she suffered through a lot of flops before hitting it big with Pa and that's only as recent as 2009. After that she's made real good career choices like DP, Ishqiya, Kahani, I really liked her in No One Killed Jessica too. She really paved the way for very strong female dominated roles in BW films.
