"One more month" he whispered in her ear.

His warm breath was a caress to her cheek. She snuggled closer, feeling his arms tighten around her waist.

They were on the Gupta roof looking out at the city bathed in dusk. Khushi could not think of a better place than to be sitting in between Arnav's legs and in his embrace.

"Things will get hectic and busy...we wont be able to meet as often" she spoke in a low tone.

"We'll find a way" he said lazily drawing patterns on her arm.

"My mom wont like it if we see each other once the pre wedding rituals start" she said sounding a little disappointed.

"Umm Khushi I respect elders and most of the time I listen to them as well, but I dont think I can this time. I dont care, we will see each other, she doesnt have to find out" he said.

"But if you think not then we wont" he whispered warmly.

She turned her had slightly to look up at him, "I think we should..."

"We should what?"

"Meet anyways" she grinned.

"Sounds good" he grinned back and leaned in for her lips.

Kiss under the sunset, how much more romantic could they get?

Khushi cupped his stubbled cheek and titled her head to deepen the slow motion kiss.

Payal held her forehead in one hand and other lay limp on her bare thigh holding the pregnancy test pen.

She read the strip again for the fourth time and it was still the same, very obviously negative.

A tear fell from her eye and down her cheek.

No she wasnt going to cry. She kept strong all this time, she wasnt going to give in so easily. It had been over five years now since she got married and about three years since they were trying for a baby.

Aman did not once complain or voice a question. He was always supportive and looked upon life positively. But he must feel what she felt deep down.

As a knock sounded on the bathroom door, Payal quickly wiped her cheek and got up from the toilet seat. She wrapped the strip in a paper towel and flushed it. Hurriedly she hid the pen in her personal toiletry drawer.

She was washing her hands when Aman barged in.

"hey" smiled at him.

"Sorry...you were in for so long, was just checking. Are you alright?" he asked standing in the doorway in his shorts, undershirt and with bed hair.

"Yeah. I-I kind of got lost in thoughts..."

"Thinking on the toilet seat huh? Not a woman thing to do..." he smirked and walked behind her and eveloped her in a hug.

"What am I supposed to do? With such a hot and sexy husband my head can never be empty with thoughts" she gave him a sultry glance.

"Mmm care to share what they were?" he nuzzled her hair.

"No...what if I show them to you?" she asked biting her lip seductively.

"That would be even better" he turned her around, threw her over his shoulder and ran out the bathroom with her laughing at his antic.

"I dont know how everything will be done. The entire day passed in just shoes and some shalwar kameezes. One more stop at Gazals, they have good saree collection and then we can head home. I didnt even cook anything, your father and brother will be hungry and mad" Garima went on about the time limit as the auto made its way through the traffic.

"Mummy I think I have enough sarees, I really dont need any!" Khushi complained.

She was tired, her body ached like anything, her hands were numb from the number of shopping bags she carried around and she had not eaten anything either.

"Dont be stupid. Girls after marriage wear only sarees...mostly" Garima snapped.

"No I am not going to wear them. They are such a nuisance"

"Khushi you will be attending a lot of parties, trust me you will need sarees. Wear whatever you want daily but try to stick to a saree...its traditional, elegant and so classly"

"Yeah yeah" she rolled her eyes.

"Khushi!"

"Ji mummy" she behaved immediately.

Khushi bit her lip to stop herself from smiling. She looked so foolish. Her heart as usual fluttered as she read his last text. This man knew exactly what to say.

One week to go and the shaadi hungama was to begin.

Khushi finished off her work and tidied up everything. She was taking off work for a month. She couldnt have been more glad to be done with work. Half her stress was from here.

Before leaving her office, she glanced at her face in her pocket mirror. A small zit appeared on her cheek. Crap. No!

She muttered angrily at all the ugly masks her mom had painted her face with and she regretted getting facials done. It took a while for it to pop out but it was there now, all pink and fresh and no plans of going away anytime soon.

She grabbed her bag and left the building. Arnav was waiting for her by the car in his crisp three piece suit and aviators.

"Hi" she smiled at him while shading her eyes from the sun with her hand.

"Hi" he said back.

"Where are we going?" she inquired after settling in the seat.

"I know this cleaner and proper place for gol gappas"

"Oh no!" she cried.

"What? I thought you loved gol gappas" he looked at her.

"I dooo! But I cant eat them!" she pouted sadly.

"Why not?" he asked confused.

"Its fried food! And just now I got a pimple. I cant eat oily food! I'll get more" she explained in a crying voice.

"Oh come on now. By eating once your face wont be filled with them and it doesnt matter even if it does. You will still look breath taking as you always do"

"No no. I am not falling for your words this time" she said though again her heart fluttered.

"Fall for my words? What?" he laughed not believing what she said.

"Yes. I think you are good with words. You know what to say to women to make them feel better, to make them smile and to make their heart go wild" she looked away from him.

"First I swear my words are genuine and only for you and second do I really make your heart go wild?" he asked smiling.

"Yes I-I mean No!"

Arnav could have sworn at the moment he felt his heart expand at her confession. Actually he was sure it did because right then his breath was caught in his chest as he glanced at her flushed face.

Surely it was the heart that squeezed his lungs and made him gasp for air.

"Are you sure you dont want any?" Arnav asked her as he circled the gol gappa filled with channe and chutney in front of her face.

"Yes" Khushi closed her eyes.

Regardless of her protests he had still dragged her here. It smelled heavenly and the food looked mouth watering.

Grinning Arnav popped the gol gappa in his mouth.

It was delicious. How could he not have liked them before? He wasnt sure whether he liked them because she did or because they really did taste so good.

"You are missing out Gupta. They are amazing" he spoke with his mouth full.

"You are so mean" she cried.

"Just eat one. One wont kill you" he put another in front of her.

Giving up Khushi opened her mouth for him to feed her.

Arnav chuckled at her baby face. She looked adorable. But that adorableness didnt last for long.

Her tongue sticked out to lick the drop off her lower lip making him hot...for her.

"Mmm" she sighed.

She sat there turning him on innocently.

"I think you have eaten enough" Arnav took away the plate, not being able to handle the licks of her tongue, the sound of her moans or the expressions of her contentment.

"No no its fine. I dont care about the pimples. I want these. Devi Maiyya they'r so good!" she popped another and closed her eyes as enjoyed it.

"Khushi remind me to keep some gol gappas for our honeymoon. God knows what all I could do with them and you" Arnav said without thinking.

"Whaaat?" Khushi nearly yelled.

"Nothing!"

"Oh my god. What is it that bad? I am so sorry Arnav. I go all weird over my favorite food"

"No no it was great. I understand and I would like to see you eat like that again" he said in a teasing voice but his eyes said something else.

Khushi smiled at him shyly and wiped her mouth with a napkin.

"Lets leave" she said wanting to get in the privacy of the car quick.

If not him, she decided she for sure was going to kiss him sensless tonight.




Aahh guysss with the snow fall this morning, justforuse fell sick. She wrote this chapter anyways because she knows how it feels to wait for an update. Give me some love and pamper me will ya? I have to go work tomorrow! *Sniff* *Sniff*
