Disagree. Sorry, that scene made me cry. I LOVED how Barun portrayed ASR's breakdown. I'll give my reasons too.
The last time during the terrace fiasco - you might have felt the pain more because there were no dialogues there. ASR was crying and that was the focus - For Barun and for us.
This time he was admitting his failures, his struggles to Khushi - he had to portray the right amount of pain along with dialogues. ASR's emotions had to come out through his face, voice and dialogues. I think Barun managed that perfectly.
Watch the episode again - and see how his facial expressions turns into one of disgust when he mentions his dad or Shyam, notice how he clenches his teeth and all of his body language conveys hatred.
Then later when Khushi hugs him, notice how like a little boy he breaks down - there is one second where they show his face and he cried like a baby.
Also, when Anjali looks at her chhote for the final affirmation about her baby - look at that look on Barun's face - guilt, sorrow, pain.
And that is why I cried. For ASR, and for Anjali too. I thought he was brilliant. Par excellence.
