Okey so the TRP judgement day again and it dropped. In one way it is good, they should wake up and shut the shop instead of delivering illogical craps everyday.
I personally think, Anjali-Shyam track is not the only thing which needs to be blamed for the downhill ride, there r other factors also and the most important of them all is the relentless character butchering particularly of ASR. If I rmbr correctly, the downfall started after the return of ASR from kidnapping drama, and that is precisely the time his character butchering had started. His actions, reactions, behavior everything was unexpected to the normal/general audience.
Many would say that his is the least butchered character but I would like to disagree at this point. In miniscule amount everyday the writers have actually killed ASR's character in each and every pisode. Since his character had been portrayed as iconic since the begining, the changes appear to be blown up.
Sample this, in last night's episode his reaction to Khushi was correct given the kind of action she had taken. But the next moment he had been shown to bow down without any fault of his. Even if one consider that he needs to get her back to RM there r other ways also. Previously also he had done this after throwing her out of RM (last yr's rakhi episode) but that time the portrayal of his character sketch was kept intact !!
Next, comes Anjali, I sympathize with her for behaving stupid and turning a blind eye to Shyam's activities. But there is a limit. Specifically, her totally forgetting the miscarriage episode and getting ready to get her brother married is ridiculous, to say the least.
These r just the examples, other characters r also been butchered to some extent or the other.
This raises serious doubt about the forthcoming tracks, the past and all. We have not yet witnessed the second part of the 4th promo ! And I doubt whether we would ever get to see that !!
There had been no promo of the ME. No other promotional activity for the show. And these raises questions on the intentions of the channel. Other shows which had started almost during the same time r doing pretty well. Whom to be blamed, the PH I guess, who couldnt handle the channel, couldnt save their show and succumbed to the pressures of all sorts (including online forums) without bothering about the general audience who contribute to the TRPs and thus to the lifetime of the show !!
Finally, the cvs and channel r free to close down the show and the way it is moving they should close it. But close it in a dignified way, no more character butchering or illogical stuff. Atleast get back the ASR ppl had admired for a year and dont make him stoop down any more low in front of anybody. Make him atleast react to the situations and incidents like a normal person, neither like a love struck puppy, nor like a henpecked husband !
