I am not sure if anybody still visits this section.. but seems there is no other place if one wants to talk about Punjabi songs...😳

ok I just saw this song by Gippy garewal - mulahjedariyan (not sure if I spelled it right) and was wondering...why most punjabi songs are based on this theme of betrayal? I mean there are so many songs on this, where the girl has left the guy and then they sing a song describing how "bewafa", "money minded" she is.. and blah blah blah...

they always seem to potray the girls wrong...but if you look at it...doesn't it make the guys seem like fools? Why did they trust her in the first place? Besides its not as if the guys are saints...

Ok don't want to make it into a serious discussion topic.. so take it lightly...😆

Any reason why this theme of "betrayal" is very popular in Punjabi songs?

Other songs I can think of are:

- "Bewafa" by Imran khan

- (There is this new song, don't know the singer but it comes on tv all the time) ... it goes like this... "hun tu mud aayi hai... hun saada Iraada badal gaya"
