YuvReen SS - Unpredictable
Part 2
Suvreen has been waiting by the gate of DPSC for the last 30 minutes, yet there was no sign of Mr. Yuvraj Singh.
"Agar Yuvraj ne mujhe bata diya hota ki kahan jaana hai, toh main yahan apni time waste nahi karti. Uf!" She stomped her foot in anger and turned around to walk back to hostel when Yuvraj arrived right in front of her with his jeep.
"Chal, Topper...Bahet ja warna der ho jayega" said Yuvraj unaware of the fact that Suvreen was boiling with anger.
"Waise aaj meri Laila achchi lagrehi hai na Topper?" Suvreen's anger reached another level up. She was still rooted to the same place with her hands folded glaring at Yuvi. He noticed it and got down from his jeep saying, "Kya huwa?"
"Time dekha hai?? Main kitni der se wait karrehi thi!" She blurted out.
"Toh isme kya hai? Thoda late hogaya'cha lab bahet ja ...warna der ho jayega.." He took his seat in the jeep.
"Mujhe nahi jana tumhare iss Lailaaa naam ke jeep mein." She emphasized on the word Laila to irk him.
"Kyun? Jalan ho rahi hai kya meri darling Laila se?" Yuvraj smirked knowing that he has hit the right point. Suvreen shot another angry glare at him and got into the jeep murmuring, "Main kyun jaloon? Hai kya yeh Laila? Ek jeep hi na?"
"Ahemm!" Yuvi teased her for the last time and started his jeep as they headed towards their destination for the day.

All Suvreen could do now was just stare at the awe-inspiring right in front of her.
"Ab apna muh band kar uthar bhi ja topper!" Yuvi chuckled and got down from the jeep. Suvreen snapped out and looked at Yuvraj with a cheerful and excited expression and sprinted towards him. Yuvraj couldn't help but smile seeing her so happy.
"Chalo, ab sab saman bahar nikalte hai..." said Suvreen to which Yuvraj nodded and handed her some boxes and he himself took some and they both walked towards the gazebo.
Suvreen never knew that Yuvraj had such a good choice. The place was just ravishing! The gazebo is like all alone and peaceful yet so attractive. The lake has added more to the boundless beauty. The water was gleaming in sunlight. Even the sun was so decent that day. It shined weakly keeping the temperature medium while the sky had a mixture of white and grey clouds. Yuvraj didn't bother Suvreen when she was examining the place. He finished bringing all the boxes and bags from his jeep. When he was done, he stretched trying to get rid of his tiredness clinging to him. He stopped hallway when Suvreen said, "Tumhara choice bohot accha hai" She was still staring at the lake smiling which made Yuvraj smile back at her lovingly. He brushed off his unknown thoughts and thought for a while.. He looked back at Suvreen with a sly smile and approached her quietly from the back.
"BOOO!" He shouted pushing her a bit by her shoulder which made her fall. A loud scream and horrified expression was the response from Suvreen while she tried to hold on to something for support but in vain. Yuvraj didn't expect her to fall. He quickly caught her hand and saving her like a real hero. Suvi breathed heavily but was relieved to feel Yuvraj's hand holding hers. They were still in the same position. Yuvraj holding her hand and Suvreen halfway parallel to the ground.Then something unexpected happened. Yuvraj pulled her and in a second Suvreen was standing straight on the graound and she felt safer than before. But, no. She didn't realize that her hands were placed on his chest and both of them were so close as a result of the pull. Yuvraj's hands were on her waist and his eyes were looking deep into hers. Suvreen looked at her ahnds and then to Yuvraj's eyes. Oops! Mistake! She didn't know why her eyes felt a magnetic pull towards his eyes. * Look look hawa hawa with YuvReen BG* Birds chirped from somewhere near. That's what brought them back to earth. Suvi looked away and tried to move away. However, Yuvraj's hands weren't ready to let her go. She tried to move again while Yuvraj was still staring at her with a small smile.
"Yuvraj..." said Suvi looking at the floor. Yuvi snapped out and saw how close they were and what position they were in. He looked at her. She seemed to be shy and sort of confused. He felt embarrassed for some reason and let her go. She moved one step back and so did he. They were looking at almost everywhere but one another.
"Wo..wo..main.." Yuvraj was surprised the way she started to fumble with her words. He didn't like this awkwardness. He decided to make her comfortable with him, so he cracked the stupidest joke ever that will annoy her.
"Hindi bhul gayi kya??" He asked with an amused expression.
"nehi toh" She replied innocently because she still didn't get that Yuvraj was irritating her. Yuvraj broke into laughter which was enough to hit her head. She responded immediately but cleverly.
"Yuvraj." She sounded completely normal and it stopped Yuvraj's laughter.
"Haan?" He asked calmly trying to sound like her.
"Laila kahan hai?" She had her usual tone.
"Udhar.." pointed Yuvraj and asked her quizzically, "Kyunn??"
"Apne sade huye jokes apne jeep mein chodke aao!!! Yahan aur bhi bohot kaam hai!!" She yelled at the top of her voice and walked away to open the boxes leaving behind a stupefied Cheetah. Yuvi decided not to stretch this anymore and get to work soon.
4:00 pm. It has been only one hour that they reached the place. They were successful in unpacking everything without uttering a single word but still stealing glances of each other from time to time. The only thing they did together was just place the table along with two chairs in the middle of the gazebo. They still didn't talk while doing that. Silent signals and eye talks were enough to work it out. Suvreen put on the table cloth, Yuvi placed flower vase on the table, then Suvi put plates and glasses on the table, and lastly Yuvi put some dishes that contained enough food for two. They both were examining the table with folded hands from a distance.
"Badiya hai yaar! Ekdam perfect! Haina?" exclaimed Yuvi turning to Suvi. Suvi was surprised as he broke the one-hour old silence between them.
"Haan!" She replied a little excitedly and beaming with content. After a short pause, "Nehi." She rushed towards one of the boxes.
"Kitni confused hai yeh ladki." Murmured Yuvi. "Kya dhund rahi hai??" Yuvi went near her and sat down to get a better view of the box.
"Wo...wo..marker kahan pe hai?? She asked.
"Wo toh uss bag mein hain." He took the markers out and gave them to her. "Kya karegi iske saath?"
"Tumhare face pe lagana hai..lagau?" She joked and Yuvi made a face. "Arree table pe.." She walked towards the table and thought which color to use.
"Table pe kya?" asked YUvi.
"Table pe naam likhenge toh cute lagega ..hai na? She asked hoping for his approval. And to her surprised, he nodded his head and smiled.
"Thik hai..toh main likh deta hoon na..tu kuch aur samhaal." She agreed and headed towards the box of flowers and packets of ballons.
Yuvraj was going to write on the table cloth but something else struck to him. He thought of annoying topper a litte bit.
"Topper?"
"Hmm?" Suvreen took out the flowers and scotch tape to put them around the entire gazebo to enhance its beauty.
"Kya likkhoon?"
"Lkhna kya hai...bola na naam likho un logo na.."
"Unka naam kya hai?"
"Naam? Naam hai'" She stopped midway when she realized that Yuvraj was just fooling around. She shot dagger looks at him. He gulped mouthed "Sorry" and continued his work. Again something happened that diverted his mind before he could start writing the names. His eyes found Suvreen smelling the roses and smiling like the happiest person in the world. Yuvraj's hand stopped and he just stared at her with a small smile on his face. He watched how childishly she was throwing petals in the air and enjoying each petal that lands on her. Kinti cute hai. Thought Yuvi. Somehow, his hands worked according to his heart. When he was out of his dreamland, he looked here and there, embarrassed and hoping that she didn't notice him. He eyes reached the table. His eyes widened in shock and so did his mouth.
Yuvraj + Suvreen
What was he thinking while writing that? Yuvraj + Suvreen? When did he write that?? He instantly looked at Suvreen and saw that she was concentrating on her work which was decorating the pillars of the gazebo with colorful flowers.
Kya kru..kya karu'..He wondered. Yeh mitega bhi nahi aise hi..He saw the lake water. Great! He thought.
He got rid of his "mistake" and wrote the correct names nicely.
Mannu + Naro
Suvreen came near the table when she was done with the flower decoration. "Ab perfect hai!" She smiled at him that made his heart skip a beat but he denied it inwardly.
"Aur kuch kaam hai?" asked Yuvi.
"Haan..Abhi bhi bakii hai." Replied Suvreen after tying the knot of the first balloon she inflated. Yuvi was setting up bright and also some dim lights inside the gazebo.
"Waise..Naro aur Annie kahan hai? Aur kitne baje ayenge?" asked a bored Yuvi.
"Annie Naro ko leke shopping karne gayi hai..Shayad 7 baje wo log yahan pohunch jayenge. Thank God Manny aur Naro ko abhi tak kuch bhi pata nehi chala kki hum un logo ki date organize karrahe hai."
"Hmm. Pata chalega..toh ekdam shock lagega." Joked Yuvi.
"Haan wo toh hain..par hum kya kare...wo dono ek doosre se confess hi nahi karte..isiliye hi toh yeh secret date organize karna pada." Replied Suvi.
"yeh date wala idea mera tha" Yuvraj felt a bit proud.
"Haan haan pata hai..main bas tumhari help karrehi hoon..aur tum kuch logo ko appoint nehi kar sakte the kya yeh sab arrangements karne ke liye??" complained Suvi.
"khud tayariya karne mein kuch alag mazaa hai..tujhe toh mujhe thank u kehna chahiye..jo mere saath time spend karne ka itna acha mauka mila hai" said Yuvi teasing her. Suvreen just stayed quiet sighing as she finished inflating most of the heart-shaped ballongs. Yuvi saw those balloons and a sly smile formed on his lips.
"Topper! Tu ne top kaise ki? Huh? Tujhe toh kuch bhi nehi pata!"
Suvreen was confused by his behavior. "Kyunn??"
"Tu yeh bhi nehi jaanti ki insaan ke paas sirf ek hi dil hota hai??"
"Haan...Simple si baat hai..par ..tum.."
Yuvi interrupted her saying, "Arre tu ne kitni sari "dil" wali bubbare le ke aayi hai..par Mannu aur Naro ke paas toh total 2 hearts hai. Tujhe sirf do hi heart-shaped balloon lana chahiya tha." He laughed at his own joke while Suvi shaked her head. She took one balloon and walked slowly towards Yuvi. He was astonished by her look. It was kind of flirty and she looked lost in him. He stoop up. She came coser and he stepped forward staring right into her eyes. The balloon was in between them. Suvi gave a lil half smile.
"Yeh lo." She said gently.
"Yeh kis liye?" He replied with the same calmness in his voice and held the balloon still staring at her.
"Apne ajeeb dil ke replacement ke liye." She replied with a stern face and walked away bursting the balloon.
When Yuvi understood that she was just playing he ran to her shouting, "Kya matlab hai tera?" She started to step back as Yuvi stepped towards her. "Mera dil ajeeb hai?"
"Haan." She replied confidently continuing to step backwards. They didn't even realize that they were heading outside the gazebo.
"Accha? Tujhe meri dil ke barein mein badi chinta ho rahi hai.." shot back Yuvi with a smirk and few more steps towards her like a predator.
"Aa..amm..haan! aur nehi toh kya..tumhare dil ki stupid harkato ki wajah se sab pe kya musibaat bith thi hai pata hai tumhe?" She said fumbling as she had a fear that Yuvi might fall on her.
"Ohho...tu bata...tujhpe kya bithti hai? Huh?"
"Umm..um.." Suvi searched for answers in her head when suddenly'
SPLASHH!!!
Suvreen was shocked to death but thanked her Gannu jii when she realized that the water wasn't that deep. She rubbed her face and settled her her and looked up at Yuvi. Yuvi had an innocent expression as he said, "Sorry." Cutely. But she didn't let that cuteness affect her.
"Tum..tum toh.."
"Topper..meri galti thodi na thi" Yuvraj sat on his knees and offered his hand for help. She looked at it and after a few seconds she threw water at him with her right hand as his punishment. He closed his eyes moving his head to one side as a reflex reaction. Uh-Oh! That was a mistake. Yuvraj instantly did the same to Suvi. In no less than 20 seconds it turned into a kiddish water right as they giigled and enjoyed the moment.
They stopped when Suvreen's phone rang lodly on the table. They got up and fised their clothes and all as they felt uncomfortable. Suvreen was getting all restless when Annie told her that she was bringing Naro. On the other hand, Rati informed that he was bringing Mannu. Both Suvi and Yuvi competed all the decorations as fast as possible.
"Huhh done!" exclaimed Suvi. "ohh..petals chitana toh bhul hi gayi.."
"Kahan ??"
"Aree floor par" She took the basket with petals and started to throw them all over. Yuvraj joined her and they were making the floor beautiful with rose petals. Yuvraj was throwing petals at Suvi at times. She felt nice when he did so.
"Phew! Abb done hai!" Suvi felt relieved and sat on top of a box.
"Yeh le." Yuvi gave her a glass of water and he himself took another. She was overwhelmed by this gesture of his.
"Topper! Tu haat ja wahn se!" warned Yuvi.
"Kyun?" questioned a confused Suvi.
"Jis box pet u behti hai na..woh tut jayega." He laughed out loud.
"ughh Yuvrajjj!!!" Suvi could never understand this guy.

It was 7 o' clock. Everything was ready for Mannu and Naro. The xxx place was all quiet and dark. However, bright+dim lights in the gazebo lightened up the surrounding. The water shined like a silver blanket in the moonlight. Suvi and Yuvi were standing far away from the gazebo, near the lake, staring at the water, when two cars arrived. Rathi and Annie blind-folded Mannu n Naro (MaNa) respectively from before and were taking them to the gazebo. The made MaNa sit and left chuckling. Rathi and Annie winked at YuvReen and left with their cars. But, Rathi left wwith the jeep Laila. Suvreen looked at Yuvraj expecting anger but he was nowhere near it. Instead, he was smiling at Suvi saying, "Chale?"
"lekin..Laila..I mean tumhari jeep?" She asked quizzically.
"Koi nahi..hum chalke college chalet hai...aur mujhe laga tere weight loss mein bhi help ho jayega." Said Yuvi chuckling. Suvi just gave a knowing fake smile. To her surprise, she didn't' really mind that much this time. In some small corner of her heart, she enjoyed his jokes. She was getting used to it. *Finally ;)*
"Ruk" said Yuvi. "O Mannu.Naro..ab patti khol bhi lo apne.." yelled Yuvi making Suvi chuckle and they both started walking.
They walked and talked about mnay things. They were laughing together, smiling together and also sharing each other's stories. For the first time, or rather the second time after their dhaba date, they were actually starting to get to know each other. Sometimes, in their conversation, Suvi shied away, Yuvi teased her, stared at her or they just joked around.
They reached college at about 7:35 pm. They weren't tired of walking that long at all. After all those work they did in the preparation of MaNa date, the walk to college was a refreshing one.
"Tut oh Gyanesh ki GS banne jaa rahi hai..mere against..abb toh meri dushman ban gayi tu.." complained Yuvi in nice way.
Suvreen thought for a while. Dushman? Really? Were they?
"Par abhi ho hum eksaath itni saare baate ki hai..eksaath wo date ki preparations ki hai'dushmaan kya eksaath kaam karte hai? Ya thik se baatein kartein hai?" She replied and concluded to herself that they werem't enemies. They just couldn't be. There was some other relationship that they shared.
"toh hum dost hai kya?" asked Yuvi confused and somewhere in his heart he was hoping for a positive answer.
Yes! Friends! Hum dono friends ki tarha hi toh hai. Thought Suvreen. She smiled at Yuvi saying, "Haan, shayad."
Yuvi's smile widened and his eyes beamed in happiness of their budding friendship. Suvreen had a similar feeling. She never imagined that Yuvraj..the Cheetah will become her friend one day.
"Friends?" She forwarded her hand for handshake. He narrowed his eyes at her with a nice smile as he was thinking. Soon, he gave in and shook hands with her.
"Hmm..friends!" Both exchanged genuine smiles.
She has really soft hands. He thought.
His hand is warm. Well, a warm welcome for friendship. Concluded Suvi.
"Acha..hostel jana hai..bye" said Suvi realizing how late she was getting.
"Haan..kal milte hai..bye!" replied Yuvi and they headed towards their hostels. But Suvi halted when Yuvi shouted, "Topper!" She turned around with a confused expression.
"Kathgodam mei toh top karliya tune..ab dekhtahu kit u meri friendship mein top karti hai ki nehi." Yelled Yuvi sounding jovial.
"Haan dekhlenaa.."Topper" naam jo dia hai tumne..top toh karna hi padega.." yelled back Suvreen with a grin on her face she ran towards the girl's hostel and Yuvi walked towards the boys hostel.
