I think the only contemplating he did was when he saw her silhouette; he thought he shouldn't be looking and getting himself into trouble, looked down, sneaked another look, decided he had better turn down the light so he isn't tempted any more. And voila, she steps out and everything's out the window along with the fireflies. Any contemplation after that was merely to let the song finish playing. 😉
