I am a big fan of Jeevika and her maternal instinct towards Maanavi. In fact I was very happy the way she solely concentrated on Maanavi's treatment. Talking to Dr. Manan, asking for Complete diagnosis, Surfing the net for alternative treatment and diet, all that HAD to be done by her.
It just pains me that Maanavi could pull an Emotional blackmail on her for something that she (Maanavi) was not right about!!!
I would have been more convinced and happy if Jeevika had stood her ground instead of giving in to Maanavi's nautanki about ice cream. Somebody does have to tell Maanavi that having the positive spirit doesn't mean being careless about health.
Maanavi has so far tried denying treatment if Jeevika knows, delaying her 2nd Chemo because Virika were in Hrishikesh so that they don't know, totally disregarding Dr. Manan's advice about bed rest, eating masaaledaar and oily food, everything under the sun!!!
Jeevika was right in saying Maanavi should not eat outside food at all. Maybe she could have told this to Maanavi in a patient way, but that's Jeevika for you, she is easily provoked when it concerns Maanavi. But that hardly matters!
Her point was correct and she should have stayed firm on her ground.
And if she was actually feeling guilty for being harsh, then she should have MADE her sister some ice cream instead of handing Maanavi a cornetto. That would have been convincing. What happened made no sense to me...
Jeevika / CV's never heard of Homemade ice cream...?

What what? Jeevika can't focus on anything but making Maanvi better. She wants Maanvi to be better right now. She is not thinking of anything else at all. She sees Maanvi get upset and that makes her upset because she wants to make Maanvi happy. If it was some other time, she might have caught up with Maanvi playing a prank but at the moment she sees her sick sister being upset about not having ice cream and she gives in.

As a parent, you often have to pick your battles. You can't always win so you have to choose wisely. Jeevika is doing just that. Does she really want to see Maanvi upset over not having ice cream and maybe stress out or just give in once and make her happy?

I wasn't the biggest of Jeevika fan. In fact, Maanvi is my favorite. The only time I ever truly liked Jeevika was around her marriage and I really was annoyed by her after she kicked Maanvi out but at the moment, Jeevika is behaving how she should be behaving. The way CVs are treating Jeevika's character is perfect and Krystle is doing such a fab job with it. I think they need to put more sense in Maanvi. Maanvi is still my favorite and Nia can never be anything short of flawless when she performs but Maanvi needs to have more sense.

@ Farikina

I too believe that Jeevika is doing what she must do. And I really commend her efforts. In fact I am just saying she should not give in to Maanavi's nautanki when Maanavi is too childish to care about herself...
It's just that because Maanavi is acting childish, Jeevika must be ruthlessly firm in her health related disciplin. Just like you have said in your own post last para...

Yes but see I don't agree with how Maanvi is behaving at all but she's behaving like a child and Jeevika is a behaving like a mother. A mother always gives in to her child's nautankies. I said in an earlier post how since I was younger, I always had throat infections and ear infections and I wasn't allowed to eat anything sour and sour things were my most favorite things ever. My mom would never ever let me eat sour things. But than I got jaundice once and my doctor told my mom I can't eat any oily or spicy food either for some reason and I was probably sick for two weeks but for a small child two weeks is a long time and I remember one day, my aunt ordered this dish from outside and it was well oily and spicy and everyone was eating it and I wanted some too and my mom said no and I got really really upset and at the end she gave in. I knew it was bad for me but I also knew if I shed a few tears, my mom will give in because she's already concerned about me sick and she doesn't want to make me sick.

Parents know their children's weaknesses but the same is true for children. They know their parents weaknesses and know how to play them when needed to. This is what Maanvi is doing.

Hmm I know where you are coming from, I am an elder sister and a mom, And I too understand that you do give in to kid's nautankies. However, a mom is the one who NOT ALWAYS gives in when she knows what's best for her child. That was the angle that I was trying to portray.
Actually if we, see, we are talking of two faces of the same coin...😊
