And is it necessary to do it after namaaz or can it be anytime?

Well, after namaz cause you wanna get your namaz in for sure before you do anything besides the farz you know :)

So I do it after Isha..every bead..I recite "Ya Wadudu Ya Lateefu"...11 tasbeehs..
