Here is part 5! Still in flashback mode. Sorry i know the medical stuff isn't entirely right, and i know I'm a pre-med student and i should know this stuff and I do but Ekta has really messed up my brain about med stuff in dramas and anything is possible LOL so bear with it hahaha. Part 5
*Flashback Cont'd*
Ram
immediately turns around and sees Priya standing by the gate, holding her
stomach.
Priya:
Raaammm!!
He
rushes towards her, pushing through the crowd.
She feels dizzy and the room starts spinning. Everything goes black. She shuts her eyes tight and starts falling to
the ground, unconscious, when Ram catches her in his arms. He sits on the ground with her in his arms
and taps her on the cheek.
Ram: Priya, Priya utho, Kya hua Priya
utho damn it.
She doesn't move. With tears stinging his eyes, he picks her up
in his arms and takes her to his car. He gently puts her in the back seat and
drives to the hospital.
At the hospital, he walks in carrying
Priya, who is still unconscious. He sees
Natasha's doctor, the gynecologist, and tries to tell her what happened. But he cannot speak.
Ram: Doctor, Priya, airport, pet mein
dard, behosh.
Doctor: Mr. Kapoor, aap chinta mat
kijiye, main unhe examine kar rahi hoon.
Ram: Doctor, aap please kisi ko mat
batayega ke main aur Priya yahaan aye the'
Doctor: Theek hai Mr. Kapoor. Main
kisi ko nahin bataungi.
They get Priya on a stretcher and take
her inside. The Doctor follows Priya to examine her. They give her IV fluids and bring her back to
consciousness and then run some more tests.
After a while, Priya is conscious, sitting in her bed.
Priya: Doctor, kya hua? Main yahaan
kaise paunchi? Mujhe kuch yaad nahi hai?
Doctor: Aap ke pati ne aap ko yahaan
leke aaya. Unho ne kaha ke aap airport
pe behosh ho gayi thi
Everything comes rushing back to
Priya. The divorce, her leaving, the
tears. And then the sudden pain in her
stomach and how she just blacked out.
She put her hand on her stomach.
She has this new, unrecognizable feeling now. Not a bad one, just a different one. Like something good is about to happen.
Priya, stammering: Dd..Doctor, mujhe
kya hua tha?
Doctor: Koi ghabrane ki baat nahi hai
Priya. In fact, khushi ki baat hai. Congratulations, tum maa ban ne waali
ho.
Tears start rolling out of her eyes:
Kya? Kya kaha aapne?
Doctor: Maine kaha ke tum Maa ban ne
waali ho. You're pregnant. 6 weeks.
Lekin is waqt tum bahut kamzor ho isiliye hume tumhe aaj raat yahin
rakhna padega jab tak tumhari taakat wapas nahi aajati.
Priya: Aapne Mr. Kapoor ko bataya hai?
Doctor: Nahin, main tumhe pehle batane
ka intezaar kar rahi thi.
Priya: Ok, aap please unhe kuch mat
batayega. Main khud bataungi
Doctor: Sure, main unhe andar bhej
deti hoon. Lekin tumhe araam karna
padega Priya. Aur stress bilkul nahi
lena. Already, tumhari pregnancy high
risk hai tumhari umar ki waja se aur stress se tumhari aur bacche ki jaan ko
khatra pad sakta hai. Isiliye tumhe apna
poora khayaal rakhna padega.
Priya: Jee Doctor..
The doctor leaves the room. She comes out to Ram, who is sitting on a
chair outside with his chin resting on his folded hands, tears in his eyes, and
looking tensed. What if something
happened to Priya, what would he do? How would he live? She was his life damn it! Was it such a good
idea to send her to Australia now? Of course it wasn't a good idea but they had
to do it. No, they didn't. Maybe he should just hand everything over to
Niharika and let her win.
Just then, the doctor came out and Ram
stood up immediately.
Ram: Doctor, Priya kaisi hai? Woh
theek to hai na? Kya hua usse?
Doctor: Ghabrane ki koi baat nahi hai
Mr. Kapoor. Woh bilkul theek hai. Bas thoda sa chakkar aa gaya tha shayad garmi
ki waja se. Aap usse mil sakte hai. Usse hosh aagaya hai.
Ram: Thank you Doctor.
He enters the room to find Priya
sitting in bed with an IV in her arm. He
squints seeing the IV, because he hated needles. The thought of Priya needing to go through
that made him upset.
He comes and sits down on the stool
beside her bed. He takes her hand in
both of his and kisses it and keeps it held up to his lips.
Ram: Priya, tum theek to ho? Ab kaisa
lag raha hai? Tum jaanti ho main kitna dar gaya tha?
He looks down and tears start falling
from his eyes.
Priya, without saying a word, takes
her hand out of his. She lifts his chin
and makes him look at her. Then she
wipes his tears. She takes his hand and
puts it on her stomach and puts her own hand on top of his. Ram looks at his hand and then up at her and
gives her a questioning look.
Priya: Kuch mehsoos hua Ram?
Ram shakes his head.
Priya smiles: Lekin mujhe ho raha
hai. Mujhe iss ka hone ka ehsaas hai
Ram. Yeh hamara sapna hai, Ram, hamari
pyaar ki nishani.
Ram looks at her with a puzzled
expression for a second before his eyes widen and a huge smile breaks out on
his face.
Ram: Sach Priya?
She nods a teary smile. He takes his hand back and gets up from the
stool and sits on the edge of the bed.
He leans over towards her and takes her into his arms, his eyes filling
with tears. Tears of happiness this
time. He holds her tight. Both of them in each others arms, tears of
happiness, celebrating their new little bundle of joy on its way. All of a sudden Ram remembers what had
happened a few hours earlier. The smile
wipes off his face. What were they going
to do? He couldn't let her go to Australia alone!? No! He couldn't let her be
on her own for even a second in this state.
He separates her from him and looks into her eyes. They had a new glow in them now; a new added
emotion, a new role and a new responsibility; as a mother.
Ram: Priya, ab hum kya karenge? Main
tumhe Australia akele nahin jaane de sakta.
Priya: Ram, sab kuch theek ho
jayega. Main bilkul theek hoon. Kuch nahi hoga mujhe. Thode ghanton ki toh baat hai na, phir wahan
par Maa aur Apeksha bhi honge.
Ram: Nahi. Bilkul Nahi.
Main tumhare saath chalunga.
He brings his face down really close
to hers, and looks deep into her eyes.
Ram: Main tumhare saath har jitna ho
sake rehna chahta hu Priya. Main yeh
khushi ke pal ko jeena chahta hu, tumhare saath. Yeh hamara sapna hai na.
He plants a soft kiss on her
lips.
Ram: Main kuch intezaam karta hu. Lekin filhaal ke liye, tumhe araam ki bahut
zarurat hai ok.
He helps her lie down and kisses her
on the forehead. Then he plants a gentle
kiss on her stomach. Priya shivers a
little and feels the butterflies in her stomach. She smiles. His touch always made her react
the same way. It wasn't just about him
and Priya anymore. Now, he loved his
unborn baby too. And right now, he was
taking birth inside of Priya.
Ram: Main abhi aata hu.
Priya nods and Ram steps out to make a
phone call. First he calls the head of
the company in Australia and tells them that he's coming there for a couple of
months. And If anyone asks, tell them
there was a big problem that needed to be dealt with immediately. Then he calls Niharika.
Ram: Maa, mujhe aaj hi Australia jaana
hai. In fact, main abhi airport ke liye
nikal raha hu. Main Daljeet ko bata dunga
mere liye kuch kapde aur doosri cheezon ka intezaam kar de.
Niharika: Kya? Kyun kya hua? Tum
achanak kaise jaa sakte ho? I mean, Priya abhi abhi gayi hai aur tum? Acha
kitne din ke liye jaa rahe ho.
Ram closed his eyes as he said:
Exactly.. Woh chali gayi. Bas,
khatam. Chapter closed. Wahan company mein kuch problem hai jisse
abhi ke abhi handle karna padega. Bahut
serious problem hai aur kuch cheezein ko re-establish bhi karna padega. Shayad ek ya do mahine lag jaaye. Aur waise bhi, I need a break from
Mumbai. Mujhe thoda waqt chahiye mera
dimaag saaf karne ke liye. Main aap ko
bata dunga jab main wahan paunch jaaoon.
Meri flight abhi ek ghante mein nikal ne waali hai. Mujhe jaana
hai. Main aap ko kuch dinon mein phone
karunga.
Niharika: Okay baby, apna khayaal
rakhna.
Ram: Bye
He hangs up the phone and comes back
to Priya's room. She was sleeping
peacefully, closer to the one side of the bed, with one hand on her stomach and
a small smile on her face. He leaned
down and planted another kiss on her forehead.
And then sat down on the stool next to the bed.
Ram, in his thoughts: Thank you
Priya. Aaj tumne mujhe apni zindagi ka
sabse badi khushi aur sabse bada taufa diya hai.
He put one hand across her waist and
rested his head on her stomach and fell asleep with a smile on his face.
A few hours later, Priya woke up to
find Ram asleep on her stomach, with his mouth slightly open. She smiled and caressed his hair
lightly. She stayed in that position, so
to not disturb him, and watched him sleep for the next few hours. She loved watching him sleep. He was so innocent and so peaceful while
sleeping.
The next day, Priya was released from
the hospital. The doctor approved their
trip to Australia, provided Priya took care of herself and promised not take
any stress. Since she was still very
weak, Ram decided to postpone the trip for a couple of days until she regained
her strength. Because they couldn't go
home, or to any hotel, he decided that they would stay at their farmhouse in
Lonavala for a couple of days, before taking a flight to Sydney. He would be with her, every second, every step of the way. He would take care of her.
Ram helped her off the bed, with one
hand firm around her waist and the other holding her hand. They walked to his car and he helped her get
in the front seat, and they set off on their journey'
