Adnan Sami's soft romantic voice makes way along with Alka Yagnik in the sentimental soundtrack "Palkein Jhukao Na". After the recent hit "Ek Ajnabee Sa" from 'Lucky', Adnan impresses once again with his mesmerizing voice. It's pleasant to hear lovable romantics in realistic action drama that outfits present political scenario. Alka Yagnik's voice echoes and then soothes senses making it a perfect romantic track. The instrumental as well as the brief version of the soundtrack appear on the other side of the album.
Instrumental expertise forays the instrumental 'Sehar' theme I track "Force" with flamboyance. Daniel B George has made the optimum use of instruments like saxophone (Raghav), guitars (Kalyan & Ankur), sarangi (Dilshad), drums (Ashwani), mandolin (Chandrakant), bass (Brennon) and clarinet (Sirajuddin). This five and half minute's soundtrack works as signature tune and background score at the climax and various stages of the film.
Classical singer Shubha Joshi renders pious and religious Sanskrit shlokas in "Prayer" that lasts less than two minutes.
Sehar theme II comes out with some soft and somber orchestration as flute recitation renders the line "Sapno Ka Shehar Ho" in "Sacrifice". The soundtrack like "Force" epitomizes the theme of the film.
Side B has five original soundtracks with the instrumental version of "Palkein Jhukao Na" and repetition of title track "Sapno Ka Shehar". Traditional folk singer and now pop singer Shubha Mudgal sings customary marriage song "Nakhredar Banno". Song describes the feeling and emotions of the newly wed bride with the chorus supporting it well. The soundtrack is customary UP folk style marriage celebration song with ethnic touch. Romantic soundtrack "Palkein Jhukao Na" comes out with a different feel in the voices of composer Swanand Kirkire and Meenal Jain. Fine piece of mandolin and guitar gets the perfect match of the vocalist as this comes out as softer version of the track. New talent Meenal Jain's voice impresses the most with sensual touch and promises. Gifted and critically acclaimed actor Pankaj Kapoor renders sentimental theme lines in "Faiz" that last for a minute. Instrumental version of "Palkein Jhukaon Na" by Raghav Sachar comes out with fine piece of saxophone. The romantic lines and couplets are well described in instrumental notes of saxophone.
The album concludes with the repetition of the title track "Sapno Ka Shehar Ho". Music composer Daniel B George has shown promise in this action-oriented film album. The album will find appreciation from classes and might not hit chartbusters. George certainly deserves better opportunities to prove his mettle, and one hopes for bright prospects for the film
