Ok So SBS is bringing out some ugly truths about the industry - thats a GOOD thing.

Barun was approached for the same - and him admitting that he was itself proves that he didnt accept.

Despite NOT having accepted he is successful. A great actor and in a successful show. So isnt it a good thing that SBS is highlighting how dirty realities of the television industry is affecting even honest, hardworking and successful actors such as Barun Sobti?

I think its fine. its current affairs. the public needs to know this kind of stuff...becuase thats the only deterrent to the perpetrators. On ya Sobti for standing up to the truth!

Now back to my Empress who is in desparate need of her new clothes ;)

So true.. its a hard industry and some people take advantage of young wanna be actors.. it not just in the bollywood industry also the Hollywood industry.. and unfortunately some people are trapped into it..

ya..whts the big deal?its just a part of life...just need to handle it in the right way...It happens everywhere..some r going hyper over it...i know i will be hit frm all sides but thats reality

How come Kekta said in the Coffee with Karan interview that "Casting Couch" does not exisit in the TV industry??? I guess she was lying!

I am glad they highlighted the issue! But the way they made it sound on the segment it was like Barun accepted the offer! When it is CLEAR that he did NOT! I am sure they didnt intend to make it sound that way!

BUT it came out sounding REALLY sordid! I guess it IS sordid! It is a pity that talented individual's get taken advantage of!

However... Sex in exchange for promotions or gettting ahead even happens in the corporate world! (we just dont call it the casting couch!)!!! It's called being a "coporate s**t"!!!

Good on Barun for being open about such an embaressing issue!

nah i saw the segment...didnt make it sound like he accepted...it just said that he has experienced it..

just the music was really sleazy in the background...and well it is a sleazy topic...so it warrants it.

Its all about interpretation. I didnt think at all that it painted him a bad picture.

😆true that...ya it happens mostly in corporate world..media r like dog after bones...so wht if BS faced it?at first i thought BS was crazy to tell his experience coz this media they really know how to play the game...in a way its gud that he talked abt it..

I am acually proud of Barun saying it bcs those poeple don't know about it gets to know about it. Those who wants to be an actor In the TV world are ready for it. PROUD OF YOU BARUN SOBTI FOR SAYING IT!!!
