Dunno. I've read some people claim that Ganga too shares in the credit for the creation of Ganesh, but I doubt that she was ever acknowledged as Ganesh's mother the way Kartikeya was.

Sanmohan?

It was the only astra capable of not killing somebody, but just disturbing him. Was used by Kama-dev on Mahadev, w/ results that were well known.

Anjalika was used by Arjun to slay Karna

Pasupata was used by Arjun to slay Jayadrath

Shakti was used by Karna to slay Ghatotkacha (but originally reserved for Arjun)

Not sure about Mahendra, though. Was it used by Drona or Ashwatthama to slay a major Pandava warrior?

Sammohan, incidentally was also used by Arjuna- during the Matsya War, which he fought as a surrogate for Prince Uttar.

Your line of reasoning made me realize that this question could have more than one answer.So your answer is also technically correct, though not what I had in mind.

Oh, easily, Shakti then. Arjun used all the others, while Karna used the Shakti.

Was Sudakshina that exceptional a warrior that a special weapon was needed to kill him (even though he was one of the 11 Akshauni commanders)? For Karna and Jayadrath, yeah, since the former was his half-brother while the latter had a boon from Mahadev. But Sudakshina? I would have thought that a special weapon would have been needed to kill Bhagadatta.

Incidentally, if I'm right, anybody can ask the next question, since I have none in mind right now. Was just trying to re-awaken this dormant thread 😆

And if I'm wrong, others can continue to try & guess. These were my 2 attempts. 😊

Correct 👏. All the other astras were used by Arjuna, while the Shakti was used by Karna.

I remember reading that Sudakshina was killed by Arjuna using the Mahendra-Astra. Since I was relying on my memory while framing the question, I may have been wrong. Will be happy to be corrected.

I think Bhagadutta was handicapped enough by his age. It is said that his forehead was so wrinkled that he had to tie a silken kerchief to prevent them from falling over his eyes. This was the disadvantage that Arjuna siezed. Arjuna, with a well aimed shaft, cut the kerchief which caused the folds on the kings forehead to fall over his eyes and he could not see anything in front of him. Arjuna then killed with an arrow which pierced his chest.
