You are absolutely correct. đ Good GooglingđVipanchee is the name of Saraswati's veena.while Mahati is Narada's veena.Rudra is the type of Veena played by Shiva himself...It is supposed to be tough not only to hold but play as well. That is why it is called "Rudr"- meaning "tough". Also because it is played by Shiva, whose another name is Rudra.Hasta was the veena created by Ravana, when he was singing stuti of Shiva (after the Kailash humiliation) . So involved was he in singing, that when one of the strings of the veena that he was playing snapped, he plucked a nerve from his hand and replaced the broken one.
