How did I not find this before???π²
I don't generally appreciate office romances. But this...is so much more than that. The beauty of the writing. Reading this gave me such a feeling of contentment. Very rarely have I found myself reading an FF and truly believing that Arnav and Khushi belong with each other and nowhere else. And you made me believe that wholeheartedly. No angst, no OTT drama, and yet their love was so tangible, such a precious delicate thing. Beautifully fleshed out characters, set amidst poetic writing. Thank you. :)
I really liked Lavanya here. She's oh-so-human. Usually one just waits for her to walk out of Arnav's life so that the epic Arnav-Khushi story can go on. Just another side character whose dignity lies in her exit. What can you say to that? Here, I truly didn't want her to leave. I don't know what I wanted her to do, but she became so real that I can only let her go by hoping she finds her place in the world some day.
Payal-Khushi and Arnav-Anjali. Sibling bonds which started out so strongly in the show and then just got lost in the haze of the love story. I like that these siblings disagree with each other , voice it, and are confident enough in the other's strength to depend on it, to count on them for support. Khushi refusing the man who rejected her sister. Arnav going to the temple because he believes in Anjali's faith. I loved how Arnav and Khushi, by finding and accepting each other, also found a deeper connect with their siblings in the process. It made for such lovely reading.
Arnav and Khushi...they didn't make me twirl or sigh or cry. I didn't want yo shake her for being obtuse or smack him for running away from what is between them. No extreme reactions there. They just made sense to me, you know? I can find no other analogy for it except maybe, a musical one. Like two deep notes coming together at just the right moment between the notes of a soprano. And our expectations are fulfilled; our hearts are at peace.
Thyme/RB/Sookie, your variety never ceases to amaze me. Thank you for sharing your work with us here. :-)
