of course its not wrong.  that was the case here.........there was another brother to take care of their own parents.........no harm in that.

This sounds very nice to hear.....but practically.....its not possible to appreciate such type of men.....we heard of ideal Daughter-in-laws who continues the tradition of a family...or who is a representative to continue legacy  of a family....but have'nt heard of an ideal ideal-son-in law.....πŸ˜•....who makes a father in law proudπŸ˜•.....
yeah! if it were some bill gates..or Narayana Murthy's son in law ..its different..for ordinary folks....ghar jamai concpet is

Parents bring up all kids with same love and care, it is sad that girls then leave their parents and go take care of someone else's parents.

Ghar-jamai and Paraya-dhan both are not good. Man and woman should prefer a nuclear family and take care of their respective parents whenever needed. People should stop coining such words in this era

I had a debate about this with my mom other day. The whole idea of women moving away to a new house! Because in India, in some parts the property still only goes to the men of the house and their wifes because it is expected that since the woman gets property of her husband, she shouldn't get anything from her own house! And that is where I wondered about what happens to men who live with their wifes? I don't think it is wrong! If it is such a socialnorm to have woman to pack their lives and move somewhere completely alien to them, then why not men? Personally, it doesn't matter either way it's fine! It's the old thinking about what the traditional roles of males and females are! As long as either of them are not lazy bums, it should be fine! So, what if he likes his in-laws better than his own parents? It's his/her choice! 😊
