Okay Mamiji, the big drama queen, ofcourse will create a ruckus when she finds out who Akash wants to marry...and yeah, next week there will be accusations of gold-digger & worthless sisters...but ASR will put his foot down & convince everyone this is best for Akash...and Mamiji may find a way out by saying that Akash can only marry ONCE ASR IS MARRIED, as Naniji herself has suggested time and again... Mamiji may use this as trump card cos she may see how difficult and tedious it has been to get ASR just to get engaged and he may again flip out over 'shaadi' talk w La or FIXING A DATE OF HIS MARRIAGE WITH LA - so Mamiji will use this as last resort.
P/Akash may well elope after that but I think it is more likely that ASR WILL AGREE TO MARRY LA ASAP TO SPEED UP AKASH'S WEDDING - his reason will be simple: 1) Kh's happiness (he cannot see her tears and boy! can that woman run a river dry!) 2) He will feel guilty cos he was the reason why Kh's sister's first shaadi didn't happen - and technically he has tried his best not to be THE REASON once again (helping Kh and all with getting Akash/P together), so he certainly wouldn't want to be roadblock third time around.
Also, he DOES consider everything in logical, practical, unemotional, business-like venture - that 'deal' dialogue was the first time I understood a part of ASR's character - that he wants to be with La cos it is a good deal - 'deal' defined as matter-of-fact, simple, no-fuss, no-love, no-chaos, no-passion, no-explanations, no-questions, no-mess union and that may not be the reason why he announced to get engaged or engage with La but that is a huge part why La continues to make sense to him, that she is a good 'deal' why he has taken it this far and will take it further.
What do you guys think? Is it possible for ASR's shaadi to La to happen not cos of his hatred of Kh or his effort to stay away from Kh but cos he 'secretly' loves her too much and cannot see her unhappy?
