Jaise tumhari besti hoti hai R.C nahin dekhne pe...after you have told so many people that you'll watch it. Rehne do Sarah Bibi...tum ne AB parh li aur main ne dekh lia...😆

LOLL...acha abhi Shehwar par zulm chal raha hai...theek hai bhai. I think I'm not that interested in DeS now because it has become very predictable...and boring...specially if you have read UA as much as I have...with a story like this, you can pretty much guess what's going to happen next. Aik bhi dhang ka Pakistani show on air nahin hai iss waqt...hadd hai!

^ I know, Pakistani TV has currently hit a dead end. DeS is predictable but I'm watching it because I haven't read/watched as much of UA's work as you have, toh mujhe abhi bhi thoda bahut interest hai iss mein.

Last month my mom gave this totally nonsensical show a try, which we ended up quitting after like 8 episodes. I forgot the name but it had Humayun Saeed, Mahnoor Baloch and Adnan Siddiqui. Total W*F material. They married off a character to the holy Quran. And they treated it as an ACTUAL marriage. Then Humayun was forced to marry an 8 year old because it was a penalty declared by the panchayat for the girl's uncle who murdered Humayun's brother. Some families are so messed up.

Acha acha theek hai, ab main Amar Bail ke subject par tab hi baat karoongi when I have started reading it so that I can avoid humiliating myself any further with my foot-in-mouth comments. 😆

Oh that show...what was it name...something with Mohabbat in it...right? Marrying women to Quran is a ritual practiced in some families...you haven't ever heard of it before? Yeh aik major issue toh hai but it needs to be shown with some sensitivity which that show lacked. Pehle bhi kaha tha, when you watched that Khuda and Mohabbat play, ke Pakistani shows dekhne se pehle aik dafa pooch toh liya karo larki...kitna time hai tumhare paas khwari ka...

Waise Sarah tum toh behosh ho jao agar tum woh dekh lo jo aaj kal main dekh rahi hoon...

So apparently, according to the UA FB page comments, ALL secrets are disclosed in this episode of Aks, the dwarfs are back and the epi is 'shocking'. Is it only me who's feeling this...this...ajeeb si...nervous si excitement for this epi? 😕

Khair...kal tak inshaAllah I'll get my Pakeeza...pata nahin kya bomb phodne wali hai ab UA...

HH has done such a credible job of showing HOW a new bride feels...so inch perfect...with the way she doesn't know what to do with herself, with the way she feels like a stranger among them, with the way they don't include her within them, with the way even their food is an anomaly for her...such a striking depiction of how it is when people from two totally different worlds marry...I had tears in my eyes when Shehwar told Mansoor that she feels odd in his home...but that she will make herself get used to it slowly...SB is doing such a great job that you can't help but relate and sigh with, for her. Kahaan maa baap ke ghar ke aish aur aaraam...aur kahaan ek aisa ghar jahaan apni pasand ka khaana khana, kapde pehena, kaam karna bhi marzi se nahi hota...kahaan uski maa uske saath itne laad karti thi and here she is in a house where every other second she is told that she's done something to tick someone off...ke kisi ko yeh baat acchi nahi lagi, kisi ko woh baat. Badi zyaati ki Shehwar ke baap ne uske saath...

Arre I was typing my analysis of DeS.. ke i got called from the hospital to handle an emergency case. Can this week end already? I'm beyond fed up now. Anyways i'll post when I remember what I wanted to say. But yeah make-believe, sanam is just fantastic as DeS.. Especially in the ending when she says ,'' ab toh aadat padh gayi hai..'' the way she handled herself thru out without crying like other heroines is commendable. She knws she has to compromise.. And she's doing just that. BK's ost seems to be inspired from Rabbi Shergill's bulla ki jaana main kon.. I like it..

howzzat, it is actually based on Bulley Shah's kalaam and Rabbi Shergill's musical rendition of this kalaam is the most well-known among many others. This piece is very, very fitting for BK...quite literally in many ways...and generally as well in its theme of a search for self identity that almost every character in the show is trying to find...they couldn't have picked anything better to convey and compliment so comprehensively what the show is about...

Agree on DeS and Sanam's portrayal...you don't watch and think ke jo woh kar rahi hai woh bilkul sahi hai ya nahi...should she compromise or should she work around these things apna mann maare beghair...kyunke kabhi kabhi sharam aur hayaa bhi bande ko le doobti hain...bohot test karti hain. But for me personally when I was watching...it wasn't about the right or wrong or who should have acted how...rather I just felt so tangibly what they were trying to portray...the FEELINGS of those situations...the dead-endedness of circumstances...the sadness of inevitable compromise against the sadness and strife that would come otherwise too if you didn't choose to compromise...sometimes in life and the situations it presents you are stuck between two hard places...jahaan se niklo ya na niklo, banda ragrra jaata hai...incredibly sad.
