An ailing back apparently forces actor Hrithik Roshan to opt out of a dance performance with the international pop diva. Will actor Shahid step in?
Buzz is, actor Hrithik Roshan has opted out of the birthday bash of industrialist KP Singh in Udaipur, where he was slated to perform with international pop diva Shakira. The reason apparently being the star's slip disc problem which aggravated recently.
"Hrithik had agreed to dance alongside Shakira for the event, but his back is giving him too much trouble these days," says a source close to him.
It was during the final stages that a reluctant Hrithik decided to opt out of the function because he felt that he wont be able to sustain himself on stage for long.
"The contract required him to dance. If it had required him to go onto the stage for a brief while or do a small skit, he would have done it. But they wanted a full fledged performance from him. He ultimately had to say no to them,"says the source.
The organisers are apparently planning to get actor Shahid Kapoor to step into Hrithik's shoes the last moment, but it seems that Shahid too might not be able to make it.
"Shakira wanted to shake a leg with an Indian actor, and that is why this mad scramble to get somebody on board. But it seems it is not possible to get a male actor on the stage.. we will manage something for sure,"says a source in the organising committee.
