There have been innumerable posts on lust. Is Arnav in lust? Somehow, if he touches her, he is being lustful. What is the difference between ASR and Shyam if they just want Khushi. *head desk*
This my definition of lust - it is to want someone for their body - no more no less.
Hey Anu - who do you think you are giving out definitions? FIne fine, I defer to Webster and Mr. Wikijaan:
Given the nature of the forum lately, I also include the definition of lust as described for kids by Webster's: sexual desire especially if strong or uncontrolled
Wikipedia:
Lust is an emotional force that is directly associated with the thinking or fantasizing about one's desire, usually in a sexual way.
So, now in all of the dealings that ArHi have had in what way shape or form have we seen Arnav thinking of Khushi with unbridled sexual desire??? Was it when he fell during rangoli - if that was lust, I need to reroll the footage because that looked like a man who landed in rangoli. Was it when he stroked her face while she was ill? I thought that kind of look tender? Or more recently - was it when he was unraveling the lights? Here I will say that he did look at her with desire but I think it was more to mess with Khushi more than anything else. When he has been alone to his own thoughts, the man has only thought about her face and he has flashbacked to totally non-sexual moments...her with mitti in her eye, she crying in the hospital. I cannot say at all that this man is in lust with Khushi, love very much, but not lust. Additionally, we can also say that he is not in lust or love with La either. So, please, can we end the discussion of Arnav and lust. He is attracted, but not all attraction is lust.
Now to Shyam. All I will say is that the only thing that comes out of this man's mouth is that he has to have her. He is not at all interested that she doesn't want to get married to him. He will by hook, crook, murder, and deceit do anything to have her. He only remembers her and the way she was dressed. His need for Khushi is lust. His intent is to have her - her feelings take a back seat.
ASR's intent is to understand what the MUTUAL attraction they both can feel is. And if by the stroke on her cheek or by the flick of her flyaway hair, Khushi responds - it does not make it lust - it makes it mutual chemistry.
