I ve been reading in many posts the multiple interpretations of y Kushi hugged Arnav. Some ppl ve even said that just a few hrs earlier he had dumped her in the middle of the road so y is she going & hugging him? Her actions don't make sense.
To me however her actions make absolute sense. Some ppl ve been telling tat since he has lost his parents he ll understand her pain & that's y she rushes 2 him. I just dont buy this argument. If that is the case she c'd ve broken down & hugged Anjali wen Anjali was consoling her. Agreed that her family was around & she wanted 2 appear strong bef them. Then going by the same logic she c'd ve broken down wen she was alone with Shyam. In fact as far i remember the GUPTA family thinks even Shyam 2 b an orphan with no family. So logically speaking even he can understand her pain right? Forget bt hugging. She dint even share her feelings with him!
This point is v crucial esp since the ARHI relationship has now reached a crucial point. Kushi rushes 2 him not coz she feels he can understand her pain. She rushes 2 him coz without her own knowledge Arnav has slowly seeped into her system & taken hold of her heart. Wen v r down v go & touch, hug our loved ones just for comfort & reassurance. Scientists call this touch therapy. Mothers always do this with their kids. If they r afraid or sad just a gentle caress by a mom ll reassure a child & give them strength.
Its the same here. I ve been repeating this like a broken record since Friday that this is the point wen Kushi realizes her feelings towards Arnav. Again many ppl ve questioned this saying wat exactly has he done 2 win her heart. Well Kushi has been seeing him up-close for quite some time & knows how unbending & ruthless he is even with his own so called GF LA, his Nani & unfortunately sometimes even his own Anjali Di. Only time wen he has deviated frm this usual gruff behaviour is with her. She knows this now. The way he has apologized 2 her on 2 occasions. I guess now she knows that aft the GH fiasco also he has been trying 2 talk 2 her only 2 apologize albeit in his own grudging, round about manner. She has seen his inner goodness b it with the girl in the mandir or wen he took care of her. She has seen his loving side wen ever he interacts with his Di. She knows that he was exceptionally patient with her throughout their road-trip. She clearly mentions this many times during their journey. She saw him fight with the goons & she clearly heard him shout HOW C'D HE TOUCH HER. Her prattling & non-stop questioning in the car was only 2 confirm her suspicion that he feels something 4 her. Remember she says u did this just coz he pushed me, wat w'd u do if he had done more? Wen he kicked her out of the car, her face expression doesn't show anger but pain. She knows that he cares for her. Her eyes were actually questioning him saying the earlier ASR w'd do this & i can understand but y is my Arnav who has started caring for me do this? Its not a ruthless boss insulting her but a loved one hurting her.
One more crucial pt that the CVs r trying 2 show is that Kushi is more forgiving wen it comes 2 ppl whom she loves. So while she dint forgive ASR 4 the GH incident, she readily forgives Arnav now 4 the Shraat insult aft his wholehearted apology, the Suhag raat incident aft he nursed her & then the deserting her in the middle of the road incident aft he rushes 2 the hospital. Wen she sees him she just feels that in spite of all his taunts & unpredictable behaviour he ll always rush 2 her side wen she is in trouble & needs him. She still doesnt know that he loves her. But she definitely knows that he feels for her & is actually nice & kind to her in his own way.
Accepting some1 with their flaws & shortcomings is true love & that's y Kushi's love is pure. She accepts Arnav 4 wat he is with all this anger, fury & cruelty coz she believes in his inner good.
This is where she differs frm Arnav who always believes the worst bt everyone. Where Kushi sees the essential goodness in ppl, he sees only the evil side of others. I guess finally it ll b Kushi who turns out 2 b his KUSHI in the literal sense. She ll b his happiness & joy even in tough times!
