Executive producer Dhaval Jatania had said earlier that Katrina Kaif would play one of the heroines in the film and Isha Sharwani was one of the contenders in race for the other female lead. Thereafter, the script underwent a few changes, and on date, Salman Khan's girlfriend does not find herself a place in the cast. "Hence we were looking at other options and Priyadarshanji asked for Lara and Sameera. We have seen most of their films and had no two opinions about his choice," Jatania reveals. Lara says, "Priyan's film will have its characteristic humour. I am very excited about doing comedy. After 'No Entry', I have started loving the comedy genre. This will be a film where I will get a lot of scope to do much more than just to look good." On the other hand, Ashtavinayak's other project, 'Golmaal', directed by Rohit Shetty is almost complete. 'Golmaal', mainly shot in Goa and Pune, stars Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, Arshad Warsi and Rimi Sen. Planned for a January start, Ashtavinayak now expects to roll on this one in March. In the same month, Ashtavinayak will roll also on Abbas Mastan's directorial starring Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan and Bipasha Basu. Kareena Kapoor was the first choice for Bipasha's role. Jatania claims, "Kareena and we could not meet at a common point regarding the dates." |
