Ok just to let you know that I am a huge Dan Brown Fan..HUGE...

This post is in no way aiming to copy his writing...he is just FAB...

So the symbolism is huge in Isss Pyaar..

First the Jalebi...For Khushi it represents catharsis of her jumbled thoughts into squiggly shapes..Khushi is a doer,,...She goes through the motions of jalebi making like a well oiled machine and that is eonugh for her to air out her problems..

Remember the time she viciously attacked Arnav..(Come to momma ..Poor Baby..hahaha.) shows how she can't sit still..she has to move ot make a point..

Second the Plants...Love how the creatives have chosen this non entity for ASR.

ASR is a man who doesnot suffer fools gladly ...he likes to give the orders, not take them..The plants , pour souls are the perfect solution

...They don't talk back..they need little nuturing...they are green and easy on the eyes..hahahaa..they are not distracting and he can focus..

Third..in todays episode ..the pearls ..those very same pearls ASR ripped off Khushi...a piece of Khushi so to speak..a sign of violation of the other person's space..a sign of feminity and beauty..

A thing of beauty so as to speak is a joy foreever..A powerful reminder of the volatile relationship they share wihch is now back to square one..a sign of feeling they belong ..to him..hayeee

Fourth..The key..The very same ASR dropped because he is GOD..HE DOESNOT believe or care..The key she kept because it feels it is the right thing to do ...the key that conjures up the vison of an arrogant atheist who rejects divinity and she accepts without question..The key that is really his in the first place but belongs to Khushi who will one day return it ..once he keeps the faith.

Fifth..Devi Maiyya...Khushi's strength..Khushi's signature..Khushi's ringtone...Khushi personifed...

Sixth..Laxmi??? a sign of wealth and bountiful blessings...Hell no ..just a goat in the house dressed in fancy dress with more rights than Arnav Singh Raizada..and that is a sad state of affairs..

Speaking of Laxami, wut happened to her? Is she in the vet hospital or sumthing? Cuz we haven't seen her after Lav tried to shoo her away :(

👏 good points
plant was good comparison , yes they need tender care
and he is ready to give tender care but scared to get hurt back 😭 so he chooses plant over human

key i see it more as key to Ar life which is now somehow kushi is key member . yes may be one day she might give back and he might take it with full faith 😳

You've really understood the symbolic nature of these characters beautifully...I couldn't understand the importance of the key as much as I did the pearl, but now it makes more sense...This is effin brilliant

I also see lots of symbolism - particularly with the pearls and the key.

She left those remembrances with him unknowingly, just like she unknowingly has been saying and doing things which haunt his mind. It's a physical representation of what she has been doing to him.

The key I thought was a dream or wish Arnav thought would never be fulfilled because God doesn't listen to him or help when needed, so what's the point (I thought he didn't have faith in a god listening to him, not that there was one). She has the key to his dream...heart.

My take on the plants and jalebis is different. I actually think - and did from day 1 - being a gardener myself, that it was a very strange hobby for a cold hearted man because gardening does take a lot of nurturing, pruning, patience... I was actually going to make a post - but got a little sidetracked. Maybe I will make it a bit later.
