I saw the comments regarding Jay-Ragini's dance on Ratan's Swayamvar. True, this wasn't their usual lovey-dovey and wonderful performances but I actually liked it!! YES I did like it. 😃
Here's why I liked it.
It was very different from their trademark enactments so it was something new from them both which made a nice change. 👍🏼
The show itself is over the top and over hyped so I was expecting the same in all the performances. Both Jay and Ragini followed the format of the show very well, adding their own spark to each part. 👍🏼
The choreography was not great (come on, you can't expect it to be great knowing what kind of a programme it is), but indeed all the steps were new and I personally think that keeping this in mind, they both did really well. Ragini's ott expression's were apt for the steps she was given.
If you watch the other star's performances and compare it constructively to Jay and Ragini's, then I am sure you would agree that both Jay and Ragini were a LOT BETTER than the rest. Their coordination and their energy level was good. This for me, made them the best out of all the acts. I know it wasn't their best but it wasn't their worst either.😃 (I've seen Ragini perform worse than this).
Jay and Ragini's jovial camaraderie was clearly visible. They were both enjoying themselves. They came on the show as Ratan's friends. Friends who have come together as dance partners and not as a couple. They showed that even in a rubbish programme like that, they can captivate people with their performance and chemistry.😃
Coming to Ragini's make up and attire, well yes we have seen her look so much better in classier outfits yes true BUT DID YOU SEE what the others were like? Yucky make up & yucky dresses. I won't name anyone but guys some of them looked so hideous that I am surprised the camera lens didn't crack.🤢
So even though I think it's a rubbish programme, even though it was all over the top, even though they both have done better, I liked it. 😃 (okay please don't bash me for this)
Also even at her worst (in attire&makeup), my Ragini Khanna looked the best out of them all!! 😳😍
