Hi everyone. Thank you for your wonderful comments and encouragement.
Here is part 2, I have to warn you guys, you will end up hating Ahem at the end of this part.
Part
2
After
breakfast was over and Gopi was sure that the men have left for the office,
Gopi came down to the kitchen, she cleaned the kitchen quickly and went to
Koki's room to talk to her.
Koki
was in her room, in deep thoughts. She was at loss as how to bring Gopi and
Ahem closer.
She
didn't know what to do and who to turn to, she had a feeling Rashi had been
feeding Gopi's head with wrong things, but her vahu is very nave, she believes
everything her cousin tells her, she believes that her cousin loves her and she
wouldn't do anything wrong for her.
How
can she make Gopi understand that Rashi and her mom doesn't have best interest
for her in their minds. They are not there to help her, but they are there to
harm her.
Koki
looked up at the sound of someone knocking on her door. Gopi stood there
looking nervous and tense.
"Gopi
vahu, come in, I was just thinking about you." Gopi walked in nervously and sat
on the bed facing Koki.
Gopi
twisted her hand and gathered courage to say what she wanted to say to Koki.
"Maji, I know things didn't go as planned, and I am really sorry, but I think you
should give up, and let me go from here. Maji I know you think Ahemji will
accept me some day, but I don't see that happening at all, especially in these
last few weeks." Gopi paused watching Koki's reaction to her statement.
Koki
was shocked to hear Gopi once again talking about leaving, and she didn't know
how to stop her this time, Gopi had that determined look on her face. Was this
the solution? Should she let Gopi go for a while, away from her, Ahem, and
Rashi? Was her mother right when she said let Gopi learn few things by herself?
But
how can she let her nave, sweet vahu be alone in this cruel world. Then it hit
her, that's what she needed to do, she needed to send her vahu to her mother,
and let her handle Gopi for a while.
"Ok,
Gopi vahu, I will let you go, on one condition." Koki waited for Gopi to ask about
the condition.
Gopi
was surprised her maji agreed readily to let her go, she felt sad and elated at
the same time. Sad because she would be leaving her maji, who had loved her
like a daughter and elated because she would be able to make her Ahemji happy
by leaving his life permanently.
"What
do you want me to do maji?"
"I
don't want you to go to your mama's place when you leave here."
"Woh,
maji, I wasn't planning to go there, I was going to stay at a hostel where
Panna stays, till I found some work."
Koki
was shocked to hear Gopi didn't want to go to her mama's, which made things
easier for her to convince her to go to the village where her mom lived.
"Ok
then, this is what I want you to do, I want you to go stay with my mother for a
while, but this is only temporary, I will tell you when to come back. Just do
as your Nani says, and take care of her."
Gopi
gave Koki a big smile. "Naniji's place, I would love to go stay with her, and
don't worry maji, I will take good care of Naniji."
They were both unaware that Rashi had been
standing outside the door, listening to their conversation.

Rashi
had been furious at Gopi when she told the whole family that she was the one
who wrote "I Love you Ahemji, instead of just "Ahemji", not only her husband,
but this time even her mother-in-law and father-in-law has scolded her for the
incident. And now her husband refuses to talk to her and he is always
standoffish to her now.
She
was not going to let that Kagri send Gopi to her doshi Nani. Gopi will be
leaving Modi Bhavan, but permanently, she will never come back.
Rashi
looked around to be sure no one had seen her lurking around kagri's room, she
went to her room and closed the door and dialed her mother's number.
Soon
as her mom answered the phone Rashi started talking. "Mummy that gawar is
leaving the house, but that kagri is sending her to village to be with Nani for
now, she is not sending her out permanently."
Urmila
had been elated at first when she heard Rashi tell her Gopi was leaving but her
face fell when she heard the rest of what Rashi was saying.
Urmi
spoke to Rashi with clenched teeth. "So that's what that big Kagri is planning,
but you don't worry about that, I will take care of it, Gopi will never make it
to that Nani's place, you just let me know when that gawar is leaving."
Rashi smiled at the other end, and hung up the
phone, she wasn't allowed to talk to her mom too much since the whole phone
bill incident.

Next
day Koki called her mother to let her know that she is sending Gopi to her, and
she wanted her mom to teach Gopi the ways of the world, and also to help her
with some formal basic education.
Koki
had not realized that how serious Urmi and Rashi were about getting rid of Gopi,
she didn't know that they consider Gopi their enemy, and would do anything to
get rid of her.
Koki
told the whole family of her plan to send Gopi to her mother, she only said she
wanted Gopi to go there to help her mother, who wasn't felling well. She asked
Ahem, who was shocked that his mother was sending Gopi away, to make
arrangements to send Gopi to the village.
Parag
spoke for the first time. "Koki, we shouldn't let Gopi go by herself, someone
should go with her and stay with her to help her get settled."
Koki
was thoughtful, she almost forgot about the fact that Gopi was going to need
help to get to her mom's place.
Rashi
thought about volunteering to go with Gopi, but decided not to say anything,
because she knew the family would never let her go with Gopi.
Koki
looked at Parag. "You are right, so why don't you go with her, I am sure you
would also enjoy the trip."
Parag
was surprised Koki was speaking to him so nicely and agreed to escort Gopi to
Nani's place.
Later
that night Rashi listened once again as Ahem told Koki about all the
arrangements and went and made a quick call to her mother giving her all the
details, she also told her to be careful since Parag was also going with Gopi,
Urmi reassured Rashi and said don't worry I will take care of everything.
So Ahem, Gopi is going out
of your life for a while, how do you feel about that?
"How
should I feel? Of course I am happy that gawar is leaving my life, I hope it's
a permanent solution and not a temporary one, who cares where she goes and what
she does."
Ahem
hadn't realized he spoke loud until he heard a loud crash behind him, he turned
to see Gopi picking up the glass she dropped on the floor, and realized by the
look on her face she had heard everything. Damn his conscious that has him
talking loud to himself.
Ahem
was frozen in place, he saw her flinch when a piece of glass pricked her
finger, but she didn't stop doing what she was doing, in fact she moved
quicker, when she was finished, she ran out of the room without looking up, and
he just stood there and stared at her retreating back.
Good going! Why didn't you
just take that piece of glass and stab her with it.
How
was I supposed to know she would be standing there, up until now she has
avoided me like a plague.
And do you blame her? Ahem
Modi you are an idiot, if something ever happens to that girl and your wishes
come true, you will regret those words.
Ahem ignored his inner voice and went back to
doing his work without giving Gopi a second thought.
~*+*~
So now you know how he
really feels about you, and you know you did the right thing by talking to maji
and leaving this place.
Gopi
once again on the terrace gazing at the dark sky, she has finally realized
that, Ahem will never accept her or love her; she needed to move on.
In
two days time Gopi will leave Modi Bhavan forever, no matter what maji says,
she won't be returning to Modi Bhavan ever.
Gopi forget about Ahem,
and enjoy your last two days in Modi Bhavan, so what if he doesn't care for
you, rest of the family loves you, so why not take those memories with you,
show him you don't care for him, and stop avoiding him.
Gopi
knew it would be hard, but she needed to show him his words didn't effect her,
she needed to pretend she didn't hear what he said when he was talking to
himself.

Hope you enjoyed it!
