Heyy everyone!!! I'm here with Chapter 16:
Anu was shocked! He was celebrating his birthday after ages. Everyone wished him and they all cut the cake.
Anu: Thanx Taani,
Taani: Anything for you.
Anu: Now, where's my gift?
Taani: I already gave you it, a watch.
Anu: Kiss???
Taani: Anu, you're very naughty nowadays.
Anu made a crying face at her.
Taani: Fine.
She kissed him on the cheeks and walked away.
Suddenly, someone was calling Anu. He picked up the call.
Anu: Hello.
Voice: Hello Anu. I am thinking that you forgot your promise.
Anu: Don't you dare do anything to my family.
Voice: Well, your fault for breaking it. Now you have to pay for it.
Anu: If you do anything to Taani, I will kill you.
Voice: Well, Taani will be killed before you kill me. I'm coming to your house.
The man cut the line before Anu could reply.
Arohi: Anu, you look worried. What happened?
Anu: Nothing Arohi.
He went away, looking upset and angry.
Arohi told Arjun that Anu looked worried. Arjun went to talk to Anu.
Arjun: May I come in?
Anu nodded as Arjun sat beside him.
Arjun: Jiju, what's wrong?
Anu didn't speak.
Arjun: Why are you so worried? You've got your whole family with you.
Anu: Well, I'm going to lose them.
Arjun: What!!!
Anu: You won't understand.
Arjun: Spill jiju. You couldn't say it to Arohi, so tell me.
Anu was just about to tell him when there was a knock on the door.
Taani: What's happening between my husband and brother?
Anu: Nothing Taani. Come and sit.
Arjun: It's quite late in the night. I'll be going now.
Arjun walked out of the door.
Taani: So my dear husband, what do you want to do?
Anu: Nothing my sweet wife. Let's just go to sleep.
He went under the duvet and fell asleep.
Taani thought: What's wrong with Anu? He was fine before.
She slept beside him.
Anu couldn't sleep the whole night. He kept dreaming about a man shooting Taani. He washed his face and went downstairs for breakfast. The whole family was sitting at the table.
Anu: Good Morning.
Priya: Good Morning Dad. Sit here.
He sat beside his daughter and started to eat. Taani sat beside him. She looked at him, worried.
Anu thought: I mustn't let Taani know that I'm worried.
He smiled at her. Anu got Taani's hand and held it under the table. Taani made a face at him.
Neelu: Kya hua Taani? Itni gussa kyun ho?
Taani: Kuch nahi Maa. Bas aisi hi. Mein soch rahi ti ki humari parivaar ki ek photo ho jai. I mean Anu's come back after such a long time.
Ananya: What a great idea Taani. Let's go.
They all stood in a line, tallest at the back, shortest in the front. As they were taking the photo, a man stood in the porch.
Man: Won't you get your son-in-law to come in the photo to?
Everyone turned to see a man, 5 foot 5, black suit with white shirt.
Everyone: Ritesh???
