Rana that is too funny... but I do have to agree. I am about to get married in a few months and bashing I go through about the things I want at the wedding is funny. I can't even say anything... oh and I'm in US. Imagine if I was in India I would not be allowed to say anything. I should get suggestions from some of married women on this forum.

Totally agree with you about the bahu bashing. Poor gopi always get picked on..

Right, I wonder if any of you guys noticed something in the video????? OK, well, Ahem has got a little gap in his mouth, I reckon his canine or first molar is missing on the top right of his mouth!!!

Sure, they can! But then after the global warming, what will be left to accuse us? My saas is always in competition with us bahus. The stories I could tell you 😡

Rana,

for now I am the only bahu for my saas. My older bother in law never wants to get married. So she has only me -- I still get picked on and I am not even married to her son yet. I get married in 2 weeks.

Hi Bhumika, after a while you learn to hear with one ear and out the other, I stopped saying anything to my husband, because we almost always end up arguing about it, so I just ignore her behavior, especially when she is mad at me, If I don't give her the reaction she is looking for than she stops.

thanks Shilpa. I am going to have to learn to ignore some of the things she says because I have to live with her everyday.

Well, I have to put up with her once a year & for a month, then too my BP is quite high (though I don't suffer from it). My elder sis-in-law has to live with her & has been for the past 15-17 yrs, I don't know how she puts up with her. Plus she's a step MIL & though hubby can't see it, I see a huge difference in her treatment of the older sons & her own younger sons. Any major expenditure is put on my husband & the eldest brother. The younger sons are told that the parents are not in such dire straits as to depend on them. All this I can put up with, but not when she takes out her anger towards me on my kids. She won't let the cook make curry or dal for them by saying there's still a lot left over from before. All this when every meal is made fresh for all others.

Sorry, I've started again.

Bhumika, I've got only one advice for you. No matter what, never involve the husband in the saas-bahu tug of war. The poor guy can't take your side without feeling he's abandoned his old mother & can't take his mother's without feeling he betrayed you.

Ok ok, I'm getting off my stool now. I'm ok & calm. Sorry for the long post.

yes i have notice this to ------ that is why he does not smile on the show------now we know why he is a anger man. lol
