Soundtrack release pushed to October 7

With around 37 films releasing in the festive months of September and October, it won't be an exaggeration to say that the movie goers are spoilt for choices. The Rajeev Khandelwal, Soha Ali Khan and Mrinalini Sen starrer Soundtrack has been postponed from September 30, 2011 to October 7, 2011.

Soundtrack will now be releasing along with Dia Mirza and Zayed Khan's debut production venture Love Breakups Zindagi and Nagesh Kukunoor's MOD.

Based on a true story, Soundtrack is the official remake of It's All Gone Pete Tong. Directed by Neerav Ghosh, it tells the story of the rise of a young man to be a famous DJ. He has fame and fortune, but what happens when he can no longer hear the music? Soundtrack also explores the wild party circuit of Mumbai where sex, drugs and rock-n-roll are a part of life.

The release of Soundtrack, scheduled to release on September 30, has been postponed by one week as lead actress Soha Ali Khan's father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, is critically ill.  Soundtrack, which also stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Mrinalini Sharma, will now release on October 7, 2011. 😃

One other reason being cited for the postponement is the slew of films releasing on September 30. as many as 6 films are releasing next Friday (September 30). They include Chargesheet, Force, Hum Tum Shabana, Na Jaane Kabse.., Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster and Tere Mere Phere.

Starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Mrinalini Sharma and Soha Ali Khan, Soundtrack is the edgy, modern day portrayal of a prolific musician and DJ. It traces his alcohol, drug and sex fuelled meteoric rise, as he battles his internal demons and a damaging handicap that slowly causes him to lose his hearing.

The handsome man with a lean body dropped in at Vivaki Exchange, an office in Gurgaon, to have lunch with Nitin Dhingra, who won the contest by answering a simple question on Khandelwal's upcoming flick Soundtrack.😳😳  The contest, a regular affair, requires a person to answer a simple question on films. 😃

His upcoming flick Soundtrack is the story of a DJ who comes from a small town, makes it big, turns deaf and battles his handicap to get back to music. Supporting him in his quest is Soha Ali Khan. The movie, directed by debutant Neerav Ghosh, is the official remake of It's All Gone Pete Tong. The music is by Midival Punditz and Karsh Kale, who have quite a fan following.

"I give a lot of thought before I pick up a film. It's a mad film.(😆 sumiji again 😆😆 a pagal film😆😆😆)  Aamir was six hours, Shaitan was six days and this is going to be a six month movie. For the first time I play a happy man,😃😃😃 " quips Khandelwal. "I have not done anything in the past which is like this. It's a film that pushes boundaries on every front," he says.

So to take the challenge head on, Khandelwal did workshops and visited a lot of pubs and nightclubs with Ghosh. "I had apprehensions about whether I would be able to pull it off since I am very uptight in nature," he says. But gradually, he started relaxing and 'shaking a leg or two'.😳😳
 
"People pushing from all around in Mumbai nightclubs really helped," he says, grinning. But in the end, he simply went by his 'instincts', he says. Khandelwal admits that he isn't really 'musically inclined'. But he does have a thing for musical instruments. He has quite a collection at home, he admits as he interacts with the employees of Vivaki Exchange, shaking hands and posing for photographs. 😳😳

"Whenever I travel I pick up traditional instruments from the place. Even when I am shooting, before an intense scene I listen to light music," he says. Music plays a big role in Soundtrack. "I wanted to recreate Beethoven in modern day Mumbai. But while working on the script, I realised that something similar has already been done. So we spoke to the producers and acquired the rights of the movie," says Ghosh, who has directed the movie.

The movie sees Khandelwal play a hip boy😆😆  in the first half who turns intense post interval. Soha, who essays the character of a hearing-impaired girl, is Khandelwal's muse once he turns deaf. Rajeev we are proud of you because every time you take up a role you challenge your own set up boundaries..& every single time you excel more than your previous attempt...six days ho, six hours ho ya six months, Rajeev's movies effect always lingers in our hearts...it never looses it essence...just like our love for Rajeev does not loose it essence... & Rajeev is saying that it is a mad film, is baat pe i would like to tell him that i'am completely mad, crazy, insane etc etc for him...& it does not matter if it is a mad film at all...hehe...😆& me very eager to see him in the happy man's role of DJ Raunak Kaul, asap...⭐️⭐️⭐️

loved the start of the video where Rajeev sings... hyeee...his voice  is so mesmerizing...i think he has a career opportunity as a singer too..he will rock wahaan pe bhi..liked where he said he is just ordinary...& this is what attracts us to him the most..the boy next door attitude..& i agree with him as a audience even i feel Soundtrack is different...waise dekha jaye tho if Mr. Rajeev Khandewal is there in a movie then the movie is ought to be hatke..i feel the word different, hatke & Rajeev are synonyms...they go together always...& i surely would love to see Rajeev romancing on the big screen too, but only when he himself is up for doing such roles...even i'am nervous plus excited for the movie...Rajeev says he was nervous as he thought Neerav would replace him...this show Rajeev's dedication to his work..& it also shows Rajeev's zeal to be different.. even i feel Soundtrack will change people's perspective & also the way realistic  movies are dealt with in future..the movie seems very realistic...so Mrinalini has seen Rajeev's work earlier & has high regard & respect for Rajeev & his work...good to know this..Rajeev deserves all the respect coming his way..Rajeev does not leave flirting with Mrinalini in the interview too...he is a badmaash guy...but we all love this baadmaash guy..don't we...he is really very naughty... Rajeev always does any role from the directors vision...& though he struggles or puts effort in the role, finally when we see the movie we see that we have a true winner..he does take his work lightly..he always work with utmost dedication & gives his best & this is the reason why he is so successful in each & every of project he takes up...Rajeev giving all the credit to Neerav for his role in the movie, this shows his humbleness...aur waise Raunak is filling our life with complete Raunak, won't you guys agree...Rajeev talking about romancing two heroines...i'am sure his chemistry with both of them would be great...as according to me jahaan Rajeev hai na wahaan chemistry aap ne aa jaathi hai...waise after listening to Rajeev saying that he was apprehensive about romancing on screen, i was thinking in real life Rajeev kitna romantic hoga..how do you think our dear hero jii would have proposed Manjiri... chemistry, history, geography, from head to tail, from right to left, from north to south to east to west i'am sure the movie will click & rock...he says he is not successful yet, he says it is still struggle for him...the way he says all have to live on earth & not fly...i love his philosophy...it simply shows how humble & modest he is...this also shows how level headed he is...& it also shows that Rajeev does not allow success to go to his head..going back home as Rajeev Khandelwal just the ordinary guy, leaving work behind...this is how one has to be..Rajeev is simply the best..loved Rajeev's way of looking at life..& he is right, we never know when the opportunity will come knocking at our door, so we should always be ready...& yes me loved Rajeev's Hindi...Rajeev is right Soundtrack ka harr ek gaana itna zabardast hai kii every second day we would like one or the other song of the movie...i tho hear  to all the song daily & repeat them at least three to four times a day..kabhi kabhi tho i repeat them even five times  a day..hehe...mausam ke hisaab se gaana badaliye, khayal achcha hai Rajeev..me will surely follow it...love Rajeev's work & his instincts...& he is absolutely right he is a smart guy is baat mein koi dauraahe nahii hai, just like the way he put it.. hehe...Rajeev says the attractive things in the film are Mrinalini, Soha & referring  to himself he says Your's truly, ab for this your's truly urff Rajeev Khandelwal ke liye tho yeh movie dekhna tho banntha hii hai na...there is no way we are missing this movie...what say guys..& me very eager to watch the movie & feel this completely brand new experience  of watching a Hindi film.. i'am very excited about it too...& i completely trust Rajeev's word on it..Rajeev's words are like patharr kii lakeer for me..hehe...liked the end of the interview too..Rajeev singing..his voice is so melodious...& loved Rajeev expression through out the interview, especially in the end, after singing the song...ek dum mind-blowing..⭐️
