I have seen many actors portray "Blind" roles ........ but when I see Mishal play "Blind" there is a sense of realism to it. If a man who could see , all of a sudden looses his eyesight, he must be like what Dutta is right now and Mishal just portrays it with PanachešŸ‘.
The act that this actor has come up with , when Dutta realised he lost his sight, the way he acted when he caught Seema unawares at her house, the way he helped himself throut like feeling the things nearby, walking holding them, trying to guage surroundings using his other senses (like ears etc), the way he acted with that blurred vision of his. Who else can come up with such brilliant performance than Mishal?.
Iam at loss of words when it comes to Mishal's acting in general. He is a great actor, who convinced us with every kind of act that an actor can come up with. Be it sad-past or his disbelief in God, his love for nakkusha or his valor. This "Blind" act of his is was just icing on the top. The way he handled it, the way he made us believe that he is infact blind and the way he made us fall for his helplessness thru out this blind act, all I can say , is, we are lucky to have such a top notch performer portraying D for us 😳. I was left in awe when I saw him yesterday reacting to Kala's taunts at the pond. His anger and his helplessness shone right thru those looks of Dutta. Felt like giving Mishal a standing ovation for that one scene, seriously😳. Also the way he did the "phir se bol" scene and the way he held Nakku's face , all so realistically performed by a "blind" manšŸ‘. Even today look at the way he appologized to Nakku and the way he was holding her face , trying to feel her, as he cant see her......... come on he is a bandar of such awesome performances leaving us awed..........at the end of every episodešŸ˜ .
Do share your views on his "Blind" performance now that we are almost coming to a closure on this Blind track😳.
Lets Rate Mishal on the Blind-Performance out of 10😊. I would give him a straight on 10 for his performance😳.
Your say ......................
Anu.

šŸ‘ 10 out of 10 for sure.
Every expression that Mishal has portrayed as a blind man has been top notch. I dont have the words to express how much he moved me with his blind man acting.
I feel Mishal does a lot of homework before coming infront of the camera. Be it the drunk guy, the angry guy, the child craving for mom (AS scenes), the singer (when Dutta sang), the fight scenes and now the Blind guy.....every scene convinces me that Mishal is brilliant. Be it delivering dialogues or express with his eyes - the guy is just mind blowing.

Thank you Mishal for being Dutta. šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘
Edit: If anyone dares to disagree then please go and get your eyesight checked.

I will give a straight 10 too! āļø

I especially found him fantastic as a blind man when he was training with the knife, bottles and balls!

And the reunion scene...Sigh! The best thing about Dutta in love was the way he used to look/stare at Nakku with so much love/adoration. It was so intense...But Mishal bowled me over with the way he potrayed the same love as a blind man who cannot look at his love. The whole reunion scene and from there on...hmm... I can just say Wow! I am so happy to be his fan and am proud of him! Kudos to him!šŸ‘

Anu, Nice post yaar...

I agree, there could not have been a much better actor than MIshal to portray this role...

Most amazing scene for me was when he hears Naku calling him "sahab"...his restlessness was evident..his helplessness that he cannot see if it is Naku who is calling him or just his imagination!!! was soooo well portrayed...His every expression spoke so much, especially when he was not talking through his eyes. I think it was an award wining performance!! I truly loved it....

When they are hiding behind the rock...Dutta touches the rock to see, where are they, if it is a good hiding place, though he had full faith in Naku, but still it was such a natural instinct of a blind man...SUPERB!!!

His performance was par excellence....!!!!

I would love for someone to bring an example of an equally good performance as blind person from the TV world...I can't recall a single one....

So I would surely give it full 10 out of 10..

For me, MR breaks all the scales and criteria...time and again...I am literally in AWE of HOW he is able to convey so much...there is something about this man...an energy which enables him to actually channel depth into the visual medium...and there aren't many actors like that šŸ‘ He has taken the meaningfulness of this character and show to a whole other level...and maybe it's because I just watched the episode and am still reeling under it but 'wow' is all I can think...

Wonderful Post Anu.

Blindness is one of the toughest disabilities to act, so that's risky already. But Mishal's Blind-Man-Act was awesome. He has it him that he took this risk and played it so well.

I ain't seen any guy playing a blind man as well as Mishal did in this track. Acting was do accurate. It seems he studied this act so well.

He is an excellent actor - his portrayal of a blind is shining example of what good acting is. He got the details of a certain tilt of the head and cast of the eyes that a blind man possesses right on the mark as he carried out that role. As well he conveyed the frustrated emotions that a blind man in his position would most likely feel. above all I loved those scenes where he enabled himself to fight his visual disability and prepared to fight with his enemies. such a strategic blind man. I loved those scenes where he was working on his skills to fight . He used all his senses very well and I must say he is the only actor who really inspired me with his performance. I loved his blind man Act.

We all are blessed to have such a Stupendous Performer in this Industry and that too playing each act with so much command. Loved it šŸ‘

Oh forgot to rate him 10/10šŸ‘

OK - I will be very objective here :)
Not to take away from his performance, he has been very effective and convincing no doubt, but...
I give him an 8 - for the reasons below:
There is a performance to me that totally stood out as a blind man and that is Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman, now if that is my 10 - then Mr. Raheja is at an 8, since that is a very tall and difficult pedestal to climb. I have no doubts that he will get there, but he has some more honing to do for that :)
