I felt if proper handling of all the technical aspects of the show was done by some true professionals the outcome nd the impact of Mishaal blind acting would be explosive. Given the handicap, kudos to MR👍🏼 that he still holds us spellbound with his impeccable acting skills especially the emotional aspects. Its beyond words for me. I mean i dont know where MR ends nd where dutta takes over nd how he is become the character to give such an exemplary performance. Just imagining how he must transform himself into a character at the opposite end of the spectrum of himself , God!! sure he is talented nd in plenty. So, a definite TEN on TEN!!!
Will wait for the day when his talents r put to test in more challenging [not that dutta was a less challenging role except he didnt have to go around dancing with lead lady] roles on a larger canvas nd infront of larger audiences,😍

10 on 10.

And these marks in spite of the CVs, epi Directors, and the Editors.

And to think that there are lesser souls in larger Film industry with acting skills 3 per cent of MRs and they have lead roles...!! Tushar Kapoor, Ritesh Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan...the list can be endless..!

What kind of roles a guy like MR would get in Bollywood?

I personally feel Abhay Deol kind roles. Definitely not Ranbir Kapoor or other chocolate hero types.

If they ever re-create the good old Western types of movies with rugged Gunman riding in mean hills, I think MR is the man.

But there maybe many more roles suited for his persona.

Hi ANu
Nice post.. but let me say that i cant quantify MR's acting capabilities.. sorry, i just cannot..because his acting touches my heart and matters of the heart cannot be quantified 😳
lagtha hi nahin ki acting kar raha hain.. seedhe dil ko chutha hain with every mannersim, be it that peaceful smile on his face when with naku, or that helplessness and sadness when kala's reality comes thru.. also how that betrayal is playing at the back of his mind every moment even when he is W*H Naku.. i mean i dont know how he does it.. but you see him completely lost in naku, but can still see on his face next moment how kala tai's betrayal has affected him.. how hurt and upset he is that his own family betrayed him👏
oh yeah, if you were to just look around at otehr blind man acts done by several otehr actors, you know he is a notch above the rest..the body language, the face trying to grapple with the situation, the way he moves his hands in front trying to feel what is ahead, the head tilt and the way he is shown listening is just a treat to watch..
it has taken me well over 2 decades to actually like a TV actor so much as there have been other TV characters that i have enjoyed in the past, definitely not this much, but for a TV actor to make a place in my heart after so long has to be Mishal..
i am so glad this post is here so we can all join in and appreciate what a great find Mishal is and how much lucky we are that he has cracked Dutta like no one else can!
all the scenes u mentioned are brilliant scenes.. but my heart lurched in yesterday's episode when he says so sadly that ab tak mein andha tha.. oh gosh, that look in his eyes said it all! But for me, this week the best scene has to be this one where he tells Naku, ki Tu dar math.. tu banegi meri aankhen. jab tak tu mere saath hain mujhe duniya mein kisise darr nahin..the emotions on Mishal's face were just astounding.. from self belief to trying to instil the same belief in himself and naku, the courage to rise above the situation, trying to show that Dutta can never be beaten, to show that he will rise above this too.. i can never explain as well as you Anu with my words😳 but for me that one scene had glimpses of DSP and Naku's Dutta and AS's Dutta..it was just giving me goosebumps.. i have lost count of the number of times i have watched that one scene..
you truly deserve a standing ovation 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

10/10. All superlatives for Mishal's acting. There is something about MR - the raw energy, magnetism, amazing screen presence, confidence , panache and yet there is a child like element in him that is really endearing.

One other role that comes to my mind is that of a detective!! Someone like Remington Steele played by Pierce Brosnan, or a James BOnd like character which he can carry off well. The only roles that I would cringe away from or be skeptical about are roles of hero dancing around the heroine in a garden, a la Jitendra type!!! He is too perfect though for emotional roles!
