Bigamy case can be filed only with proof..Case is taken only after due evidence is provided ..U cant go and say...This man has married again ..Arrest him ...First u have to providethe proof  re his first marriage..

Do they register marriages in India now even if you have a religious ceremony? Church wedding always had the couple sign at the end. What about other marriages?

Thanks for the update

This is ridiculous. Even though Arushi married with consent and isn't being abused doesn't mean she HAS to stay at her sasural. She told the police CLEARLY that she does not want to stay so why couldn't they help her? This is just bad writing.

In case of Hindu marriage or such mrrges where it has not been registered..one goes for Ration Card,marriage photo, wedding invitation card  ..

The first rule of police is to chk whether any violence has occurred or if the girl is mistreated..when that is not seen , efforts  will be made by the police to patch up ..we  saw that today ...it was quite normal..

Ohh no Tanth these are not enuf
u shud register providing any or all of these in a court...wer both the spouses should sign in front of a legal authority
or
get a note from notary public which fotos n signatures of the both of them...
