Sushant and Ankita missing from Jhalak promotions?

Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput have always been surrounded by controversies for quite some time now. The latest one being them missing in action from all promotional activities of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4.

Says a source, "Ankita and Sushant have been restricted by the production house and the channel (Balaji and Zee Tv) to be present for any promotional activities. Even though the duo is a part of Jhalak they have been asked not to be a part of those events."

Another source adds, "The actors take Ekta Kapoor's permission whenever they need to make it for any event. The priority of the channel and production is that, since they are shooting cut-to-cut for the telecast, the telecast should not be affected at any cost. "

We spoke to Sushant Singh Rajput who clears the air; says "We shoot cut-to-cut and both of us are the leads of the show. So, whenever we shoot, we can't compromise on the telecast of the show. It has to be our first priority, no matter what. Now even though, we have participated in Jhalak, we still miss some events related to Jhalak. Its not just Jhalak we don't have time for ourselves as well."

We called Sukesh Motwani, Fiction Head Zee, to know his take on the same. Says Motwani, "Whatever it is, at the end of the day, Manav-Archana are doing a lot of things, and so we don't mind doing them Jhalak as well. But when it comes to restricting them for certain events, it's a channel and production house's mutual call, considering a lot of other factors, depends what it is."
