A Lifeline for 'Arrested Development?'
HOLLYWOOD - Emmy-winning comedy Arrested Development is set to be saved by TV networks Showtime and ABC, after being dropped by Fox.
Executives at Showtime and ABC are reportedly in early talks to pick up the series, after bosses at Fox decided to cancel it last month because of consistently low ratings.

The show, starring Jason Bateman, Jeffrey Tambor, Portia De Rossi, Jessica Walter and Will Arnett, won over critics when it debuted in 2003, but never attracted large viewer numbers—even after scooping an Emmy in 2004.

Official talks have yet to take place with either of the interested networks.
