For your eyes only
Chandigarh "I believe cinema has to have a purpose...a message is a must," filmmaker Mukesh Gautam is back with a Punjabi film and this time he has touched the topic of organ donation. Produced by Shree Kamdhenu Meditech (Films) Pvt Ltd, Ek Noor talks about organ and eye donation and thrown light on the life of an orphaned girl, who is a victim of terrorism in Kashmir. "The storyline is different from the other run of the mill Punjabi films," says Gautam as he introduces debutant child artist Rhea Sandhu from Yadvindra Public School who plays the role of a visually-challenged orphaned girl. This film will be released both in India and in the international film markets. Gautam, who is also Vice President-Special Projects, G-Next Media Private Limited, which owns PTC News and PTC Punjabi channels, says, "A film is complete when it conveys a socially relevant message with a perfect blend of entertainment. At present, lots of action-oriented, star-studded films are around, but the important thing, we find missing is content in the storyline. While conceiving the idea of this film, the prime and foremost thing in our mind was to come out with the story, which people should relate and feel as if this is their own story or had happened among them. That's how, Ek Noor came into existence." Dr Ranjeet K. Chandra, producer of the film, adds, "The most appealing aspect of the film lies in its treatment. We have tried to keep it most natural and convincing. Ek Noor endeavors to inspire people to take up to noble cause of organ donation. How the life of a young visually challenged orphaned girl changes when a young couple adopts her and helps her see this beautiful world once again is all about Ek Noor. I am sure viewers will appreciate this team effort to the fullest of their interest and entertainment."
The film also stars actor Sudhanshu Pandey, model Sudeepa Singh who will be seen in Vipul Shah's Action Replayy, starring Akshay Kumar and veteran television and film actor Rajendra Gupta, actor Yami Gautam and former Mayor of Chandigarh, Harjinder Kaur. Along with this, there is Surilie Gautam, comedian Bharti Singh, Rana Ranbir, veteran actor Kamal Tewari, Neeta Mohindra and Dolly Ahluwalia Tewari, who will be acting and designing the look of the actors. Director of Photography is Najeeb Khan, screenplay and dialogues are penned by Anurag Singh.
