RR gets ready to leave, (pretending, for office as usual), calls for Anu and finds out Nivedha has gone to Patti's house. Nivedha enters, says Patti asked about Anu but not about RR (not surprising). Nivedha says Balu uncle came for a visit, saying he came with his wife to seek treatment for her mental illness. RR is shocked as usual. Nivedha asks Anu if she knows Balu and his wife. Anu says yes, saying Balu came for their wedding, and that their Balu's wife was fine at their wedding, but something happened after that. Anu wonders why it happened, and asks RR if he know why Balu's wife is in such a mental state. As usual, the pavi manushan snaps saying he doesnt know (and he thinks of the flashback on how Palli lost their child due to her carelessness)- How does everyone call Palli a nice person when she ruined a couple's whole life??

Balu and wife on the road- Balu sad at seeing his wife's plight. Enter Palli and Karthi walking to their car, and Palli recognises them as the one whose lives she totally messed up on. Balu turns around to see Palli, and she asks them how they are. Balu replies (ippadithan irukkom). His wife asks Palli for their child. Karthik looks confused, and then very upset, saying he knows them based on what his mum told him. She asked him where they are staying, and insists they stay with Palli. Balu says he is staying at a friend's house (Patti-ma). Balu is such an understanding man, naana irundha Palli-ai kondru pottiruppen. Palli insists they visit her and take them in her car, looking guilty (she deserves to!)

Balu and wife enter Palli's house, RR inside (velai illai as usual) . RR looks guilty as Balu's wife struggle to recognise him. Balu explains how he is seeking treatment. RR states his guilt about ruining their lives. Balu is optimistic Meena will get cured and asks him not to feel guilty. Palli insists that they must stay in their house, and Palli/Karthi leaves the hall. Balu explains that he has committed to stay in RR's mother's house. Balu understands RR's two timing lifestyle, and says he understands RR's problem. He also states he met Nivedha, and he promises RR that his secret will be safe with him. (enna friends-o theriyalai...will even forgive murder of their own family by a friend I suppose)

Update for Friday, Oct 15, 2010:

Starts with Balu telling RR that his secret is safe, and he will never disclose it to anyone, even if it means that he will get his child back. RR is happy that he has such good friends! Pallu comes back to the room and asks where they are staying, Balu says it is with someone from their hometown, and says it is time to go. Pallu asks for the address, RR says he knows the place and he will take her there (so she doesn't even know about the existence of his mother! What did he tell her? that his mother was dead? Wonderful son! and his friends keep praising him!) Pallu wants to drop Balu and Meenakshi in their car, but Balu says that they can go by auto, so Karthik is asked to find them an auto.

Gopi sitting on the verandah in his house, refusing to eat. Usha comes to call him inside, followed by SR, but he asks how the food was prepared, and Usha says that with rice, paruppu, milagai, puLi, uppu etc. He asks where all this came from (the store, where else?) and finally explains that all the provisions were courtesy MK, and he will not eat because MK is a fraud. When he knew that SR was to marry RR's son Karthik, MK should have withdrawn from the field (adeyappa, you were the one who encouraged your daughter to lure him and entrap him, now why do you call him a fraud>?). Usha tells him to go and stand in front of the mirror and say all this, because all this applies to him! Gopi says he will eat in a different 5 star hotel every day, he is a free man now, he doesn't have to eat Usha's cooking any more. Usha and SR go inside, disgusted, to eat.

Balu and Meenakshi in the doctor's office, he tells them that if she takes the medicines regularly, she can be cured in three months (does this mean the serial will be over in three months? Is this what is called being overly optimistic? Eljay, will you never learn?). Balu comes outside, tells his wife to wait there, and goes across the street to buy medicines. (You are just as much of an idiot as that Pallu, you leave a mentally ill person alone outside the hospital, and go across the street, shouldn't you at least have left her inside and asked someone responsible to watch her while you got the medicines, or taken her home and then gone to buy the medicines?) He pays for the medicines, looks back at the hospital, and - guess what? No prizes for guessing right, Meenakshi is missing. He hurries back to the hospital, and calls out Meenakshi!Meenakshi! to the sidewalk, expecting her to materialize suddenly out of thin air!

Shreenidhi's phone rings, it is Karthik asking her why she didn't answer his calls earlier, she explains about her being in a meeting with her MD, he says he is coming. He comes and she gets on his bike, and they are off, through streets which are deserted (surely these streets are not in present day Madras). They pass a couple who get down in front of a house, and the couple happen to be - Pallu's parents. Pallu's mom keeps staring at Karthik on the bike, Pallu's dad asks her something and keeps staring at her face, instead of following her glance and seeing what she is looking at, which would be a normal reaction of most people (but then the serial characters are not normal people!) He finally asks her what is holding her attention and she points to karthik, he calls out Karthik, who has passed them by now, and Karthik turns around, sees them, and says Uh, oh, the cat is out of the bag. He stops the bike, Shree gets down, sees them, recognizes them as the couple whom she saw outside the temple when she was with Paati (RR's mom), he introduces them as his grandparents, thatha wants to know how Shree knows Karthi, Shree mazhuppufies, Karthi says they are just friends, and he is dropping her off at work, and they push off.

More coincidences - Meenakshi is caught in the traffic, Shree sees her, asks Karthik to stop, gets down and goes up to her and asks her where she wants to go. Meenakshi looks bewildered, and Karthi wants to know what she is doing there, and right then, Balu comes there. Karthi asks him how he could have left her alone (I had the same question too!), and then hails an auto for them to go to Adyar. Meenakshi tells Balu to get in first, she seems reluctant to go, and Shree holds her by the shoulders, and she seems to feel something when Shree holds her. She gets into the auto, but keeps looking back at Shree.
