BANGALORE: Salman Khan, donated a sum of Rs 11 lakh to Sparsh Foundation, meant for needy children. It was a huge surprise for Dr Sharan Shivaraj Patil, chairman and orthopaedic surgeon, Sparsh Hospital, when he received a call from Khan and was later handed over the cheque by him. In October 2009, Khan had participated in 'Sparsh Vachana,' a programme of Sparsh Hospital for treatment of 200 children with physical deformities and had volunteered to help the children financially. Commenting on Khan's generous act, Dr Patil said, "Though he is in the glamour world, he is so sensitive to the issues and supports the cause of those in need
