What a mess Zee has gotten itself into!
Everytime I listen to Nihira, I can't help saying 'wow'! Her rendition of that HareRama song and Chup-Chupke (B&B) was stunning... the way Hema has consistently sung has been tops... though I do think that he has stagnated (or even regressed), while Vineet and Debo have made huge progress...
Swananda and Sharib did not deserve to be voted out... IMHO both of them should have made it to the Top 6 (along with Nihira, Hema, Vineet and Himani)... I rarely enjoy Twinkle's or Rajeev's singing... the rendition of PyarToHanaHiTha by Twinkle looked like a horror show!
It would be a huge injustice if the public keeps voting insanely. And now I read on this board that Hema/Nihira got yellow... that shows how illiterate and undeserving the public is... One way to improve the poll would have been to vote for your LEAST favorite singer (== candidate for elimination)... as it stands right now, by voting for your MOST favorite singer, the public is overlooking a few (just by assumption that others will be voting for them)... and they end up falling thru the cracks!
The best would have been to have a jury of music greats... this is a show to discover real musical talent (for playback singing)... and not just another entertainment show to see a stage performance... or a popularity contest where the public is stupid enough to get wooed by looks and style!
Wake up Zee! Agreed that its the public voting these #s... but the onus is on you to use the feedback is a +ve way... if the good ones (especially Nihira) losses, you might be ruining their careers by negatively impacting their self-confidence/spirits...
Wake up public!
