The episode starts with Divya introducing herself and Nivi to Chanchal who smiles until she hears that they're from the house across the mansion. She rudely asks them if they were called here or if they just came of their own accord, and then asks if they came because they wanted something. Chanchal says that they always come asking for things, and then leaves.
Divya goes to reply to her but Nivi stops her, and says they should go back to Dadi. Divya disagrees and says they're not staying here any longer. She drags Nivi out towards their house, and the butler (?) notices. Back in front of their house, Divya says that they won't go inside until she thinks of something to tell the family. Nivi tells her that it was wrong to leave, and that once Divya's calmed down, they should go back.
Back at the mansion, Sid is talking to Bhupat about the hotel plans when Vandana comes in saying that the pooja preparations are complete. Bhupat compliments mother & son for their hard work, but mentions that until Yashodhara is happy, they won't get the benefits of the pooja. Vandana mentions that Yashodhara wanted the havan to bring peace and quiet to the mansion. Bhupat says that if havans & pooja brought peace, he'd do it 24/7 - but first peace must be in one's heart. People who have no happiness in their heart will never find peace, but try to bring peace to other people's life.
Bhupat asks Vandana if she understands what he's getting at. Vandana agrees uncomfortably, and leaves. Bhupat then turns to Sid and tells him to always keep his mother happy, as she still hasn't gotten her share of happiness. Sid sadly agrees.
Back at the Sharma house, Nivi is trying to take Divya back to the havan, and says that the Soods will get upset. Divya asks who they are to get upset - Divya's family should be the ones upset with the way Chanchal was talking to them, as if they purposely went into the mansion. Divya asks how they have the right to humiliate them.
Nivi tells Divya to calm down - Bhupat came personally to invite them, and everyone was so nice when they met. Divya tells Nivi that she thinks everyone is nice, but when someone hurts Divya, why should she be nice to them? Divya firmly says that she won't go to the havan, and neither will Nivi.
Nivi turns and says that she can't do it - what will she tell Dadi and Papa? Divya tells her to say what happened, as Chanchal humiliated both of them. Nivi says it wasn't anything big, but Divya disagrees, and repeats that she isn't going back. Divya asks Nivi to make a choice between staying with her or going back to the Soods.
Nivi says she'll stay with Divya, and Divya says she needs to think of something. Nivi advises her not to tell the family what happened - especially considering they've returned after so long. Divya says she won't, and besides who would believe her - everyone in the family is running after the Soods as if they're royalty. Nivi looks sad.
At Manas' house, Yash is studying chemistry, and both have a conversation about their studies and future ambitions. Manas mentions that his family are anxiously waiting for the results, and Yash says that he hasn't told his family when the results are coming, because no matter what his marks are, his family will complain anyway - so double lectures in one go.
Back at the Sharma house, Pratap is waiting for Hemalata. She comes out, and Pratap asks why they're going so early. Hemalata says that everyone else are guests, but they're technically family, and Naintara already took NivYa, so they should go too. Pratap smiles excitedly, and they make their way out...
& bump into NivYa who were making their way inside the house. Hemalata asks why they're not at the havan, and Divya complains that the bhajan was making her head hurt. Hemalata scolds her, and Divya turns to Pratap for support. Pratap relents and allows Divya to stay in the house, and Hemalata says that when Divya is feeling better, she should come back to the havan. Divya curtly replies that if she doesn't, she's going straight to the doctors. Pratap & Hemalata (PraLata from now on) leave.
Nivi makes her way into the house, but Divya stops her and drags her away - saying that they're going, and if anyone asks, well they had to go to the doctors.
In the Sood mansion, PraLata look amazed as they take in how big the mansion is. Sid comes up to them and leads them inside. He leads them to Bhupat and Yashodhara. PraLata take their blessings, and Yashodhara isn't too pleased.
Naintara sees Vandana and asks if she's seen NivYa anywhere. Vandana answers in the negative, but if she sees them, she'll tell them to go to Naintara.
At the Sharma house, Keshav comes out with the shagun in his hand... and slowly makes his way to the Sood mansion. Reaching there, he looks around, and stands on the side where he notices Jawahar and Chanchal. Keshav's mouth tightens and Jawahar notices him as well. Sid also sees Keshav and smiles until he notices Jawahar staring at Keshav angrily. Naintara is happy to see Keshav and Sid goes to Keshav and leads him towards Bhupat, who's happy to see him, and tells Keshav to come more often.
Keshav, smilingly, takes Bhupat's blessings, and turns to Yashodhara and his face drops. He touches her feet, but she turns her face away, and walks off.
In the main town, NivYa are walking along the street. Nivi starts asking questions, and Divya cuts her off saying that Nivi never says anything anyway, it's always Divya answering for both of them, so why is Nivi so worried for? Divya says that no matter what happens, she's not going back in that house, and anyway, once the pooja is over, no one's going to care where they were.
Divya then says that if they lecture Nivi, Nivi should look down and listen quietly - she does that everyday anyway. Divya walks off, and Nivi follows quickly behind her.
Back in the mansion, Sid goes up to Hemalata and asks where everyone else is. Hemalata says that they're all there, and starts going on about random things. Chanchal and Jawahar (ie. Mr&Mrs. Whiner) hear this and aren't happy.
Sid walks up to Naintara, and Yashodhara's sitting there as well. Naintara mentions what a good boy he is, and how he takes after his grandfather and father both. Yashodhara agrees, and says that now they need to find a girl from a good family for him - but where are good families these days?
Sid asks the same question, and Naintara guesses that he's looking for NivYa. Sid smiles and nods, and Naintara mentions that she's looking for them as well. Sid says he'll find them, and walks off.
Hemalata walks up to Naintara and informs her that Divya's head was hurting so they left before it started. Naintara asks why Nivi left as well, and Hemalata says that Divya was fussing, but Naintara shouldn't worry, they'll both come back. Naintara isn't too reassured.
Back in town, Divya stops at a balcony type area, and Nivi wants to ask another question. Will Divya never go back, even if Dadi or Sid tell her to come? Someday they're going to have to say what happened today. Divya counters that it was Nivi's idea to keep it quiet, and Nivi agrees, but only so that the issue wouldn't get out of hand.
Divya tells her to start thinking with her head, and start listening to her heart. It doesn't do any good to be this innocent. Nivi says that when Yash gets a good job and when her father is happy, that's when she'll start listening to her heart. The epi ends on Nivi's big smile.
Precap: Sid is looking for NivYa, and when he spots them, he calls out Divya's name but she walks off, and Nivi looks at him.
DONE.
I don't normally comment - but the looks on everyone's faces (well the elders anyway) showed a lot of pain/hate/anger. It says a lot. I can't wait for the back story to come out.
Anyway, enjoy.
