Here goes chapter one starting with MAYUR/Gunji convo
CHAPTER ONE:
"Hey Gun, where's Sam? He's supposed to be here. By God Always late" Nups asked while grabbing her guitar and handed it to a smiling Mayu.
"Ya he should be here right now" Gunjan said while waiting for the music room door to open
"Why is he going to be late anyways" Mayank asked while writing something on a piece of paper
"Because Sam wanted to know what he got on his exam" Said Gunjan, suddenly got a text from Sam
"Wait for me in the hallway. Ms. Aha is almost done grading my exam" –Sam
Gunji smiled and ran out of the music room
"Where do you think she's going" Mayu asked
Nupsi shrugged, "She's probably waiting for Sam in the hallway"
"Ah, love is in the air" Mayank chuckled as Nupur playfully hit him on the arm.
Gunjan was now anxiously waiting for Sam to appear. Suddenly, she heard Sam and saw him running towards her, "Chashmish, Chashmish! I got a 91%"
"Really?" Gunjan was excited for him
"Yeah!" Sam showed her the marksheet, and she saw a bright red A+ on it. Excitement over came Gunjan and she jumped with joy and hugged Sam. "I'm so proud of you" Gunjan said as she pressed her forehead against his.
"Its all bcoz of you Chashmish" Sam smiled as he gently broke the hug. Suddenly, the bell rang, "Come on we're late for music class" he took Gunjan's hand and walked with her to the music room door. But before he opened it, Sam stopped and let go of her hand
"Sam, what's wrong?" She asked worriedly
"Nothing, I was just thinking" Sam stated "How would you like it if I taught you how to play the guitar today" Sam looked at her
A smile emerged across Gunjan's face, "I would love that"
Both of them walked into the music room.
Ms. Tamanna, "Ah there you two are. Now come on let's not waste time. Music waits for no one"
Gunjan giggled as she took a seat next to Sam, "May I ask why you look so happy" Mayank whispered to Gunjan
"Sam is going to teach me how to play guitar today" Gunjan exclaimed
"Wow, things really changed last night didn't it?" Mayank was surprised
"Yeah" Gunjan said while staring at Sam
FLASHBACK (previous night):
Gunjan: Sam are you free today ?
Samrat: Yup babes. I will be there by your side every time you need. So never ask whether I am free. Only order Ma'm.
Gunjan nodded. "So wat about a movie tonight ?" Sam asked. "Oh that's great" Gunji jumped in joy. "But Nupur and Mayu wont come as Aunty(Mayu's mom) nt well and Nupsi wii b there". Gunjan said in a worrying tone.
"No problem jaan ,I ll b there na….So just chill"Sam assured and they hugged each other.
"Get ready by 5. I ll pick u up" Sam said and waved her gud bye. Gunji's happiness knew no boundaries. But all this was heard by Sheena and the evil mind back to work.
Its exactly four when Sheena came and urged "Sam I have problem in this note can you please help as you are very gud at music ?" Sam looked at his watch , it was 4.15. "Sorry dear bt I hav some important work. Actu…" Sam was about to say when Sheena made a puppy face and in a low tone "Ok I don't have time for me. Huh, fyn bye then….."
This time Sam really felt bad and nodded "Ok….bt only fr half an hour"
Then they started. Sam found it hard to concentrate, every now and then looking at his watch and Sheena trying again and again to delay. In this way it was 5.30. There work finished and Sam began to hurry, Sheena having an evil smile on her face said "Bye sweetu see u tomorrow." Sam smiled and they departed.
Nw it was unbearable for Gunjan as it was 6.15 and no trace of Sam. With a heavy heart she returned home where she found a note. "Gunji beta, I have a business meeting in California so I hav to leave in hurry without meeting you. Don't worry I hav asked Mrs. Sharma(Mayu's mom) to take care of you. Please bear with me beta. Love you. Yours dad"
A tear dropped frm Gunjan's eye. Then she started crying bitterly. "Why me… Why me everytime….. what is my fault, first mom left me alone, dad never has time fr me, and S…a….a…a…m" She cudnt speak further and her voice became husky. She cried almost fr 15 mins. Then she got up & thought to go to Mayank's place.
At Mayank's place:
"Gud evening Aunty, hw is ur health nw, I am sorry aunty, Dad didn't know about ur health, so he asked U to take care of me, bt I don't wanna a burden on U ?" Gunji asked in a single breath. Her eyes were swollen because of constant crying. Mayur noticed that and felt bad, bt at the same time smiling too. Mayank's mom took Gunjan in her arms and kissed her cheeks. "Don't cry my baby. I am perfectly all right, & remember children are never burden on parents." She again kissed her forehead. Gunji smiled and hugged Mrs. Sharma. "Ok frnds, nw lets go to my room, rest we will talk there" Mayank told and dragged Gunjan to his room, Nupur and Mrs. Sharma followed.
In his room Gunjan found a huge cake along with a big "I am Sorry" teddy. "wat's this, is Nupur angry wid you ?" She asked Mayu in a teasing tone. They both were quite, Gunjan frowned. Suddenly Samrat came frm the window (as usual), sat on his knees before Gunjan and beg his foregiveness. A tear eascaped frm Gunjan's eyes, she looked the other side. Samrat cudnt tolerate any more. He hugged Gunjan and told everything. Gunjan was happy that Samrat dint lie. She reciprocated. But the fear of being alone always haunts her. So she hugged him tightly and sobbing heavily.
"Please never leave me alone…… please" she begged Sam with teary eyes. "Never" was the only answer. Sam tried to calm her down.
There was a complete silence.
Suddenly sum one screamed "By God , mere pet mein Chuhe basket ball khel rahe hain, kisiko meri parwah hi nahi hain."It was Nupur, who shouted to lighten up the mood. Silence was broken and every body laughed. Then Gunjan cut the cake and fed everyone. That night was indeed the best night in her life.
FLASHBACK ENDS:
"God, Gunjan looks so happy. I have never seen her like this" Nupur was studying Gunjan
"What can we say; she's finally getting the man of her dreams. She deserves to be happy" Mayank replied
