Choice of Songs?

I personally think, Sashi is a good singer but i hate his choice of songs......my question is who decides the songs .....why do some sing well known songs while others try out less popular/unheard songs....i think this has a great effect on the voting too!!

Yeaah.. I've always wanned to know if the choices are made by the singers themselves or if it's someone else who does that.. 🤔

As per my knowledge its the singers who choose the song. I am quite sure judges have no role in this. What I am not sure about is whether the contestants are getting training from some professionals because if they do then those guys also help in choosing the songs. Like if anyone has watched Fame Gurukul, there used to be two trained singers there who used to suggest songs to the contestants.

As far as I am aware the contestants has to choose songs from a pool and then practice with musicians on that. I am not sure if they have any vocal trainer with them as well.

it strucked my mind too!!they r given the chances to choose or The CVs choose on behalf of them!!>

i m really upset with Naushad's choice of singing,..har time ek hi typ ...UUuu!!!👎🏼

guys there is no choice of songs offered ...... in the initial stages they were offered 3 songs from which they had to choose 1 ..

but later they were given just 1 song by the crew.....

and judges do influence the decision that who gets which song ........

Its the contestants who chose the songs, I guess. Some sing within their comfort zone, while some try to go beyond.

If contestants aren't given any choice then why did Sunidhi say to Naushad last week ki abhi aap ek hi tarah ka gaana gaa rahe hain?
I still think judges have no say in the song selection. Or if the crew chooses the song then its the crew to be blamed. Why blame the contestant?
