Growth is natural says Gaurav Khanna-Article

When he came to Lucknow to promote his serial Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam, he told us that he was utterly confused about what to take up as a profession. "When I was a child, I wanted to become a painter. When I grew up, my ambition changed and then I wanted to be a doctor. Later, my focus shifted towards becoming a pilot. I don't know how I landed up here, in showbusiness. But this is the only field where I can be in all the professions I want to be!" says Gaurav, who was spoilt for choice in his younger days.

While talking to us, he told us about his UP connect. "I was born in brought up in Kanpur, but Lucknow is my second home, since my sister is married there. And look at the coincidence ' the story of this serial is also based in Lucknow," says Gaurav.

So, has life changed for Gaurav after his TV stint? "Yes, there's a place I used to go to for dinner with my family around 10-12 years ago. And when I visit that place now, people recognise me and ask for my autograph."

And now, since he has a foothold in the TV industry, would Gaurav like to try his hands at films as well? "Growth is natural. If I think I can do justice to a role offered to me, then I'm ready to do that role in the film. Frankly speaking, I haven't tried my luck in Bollywood. But then, I didn't try my luck in TV either!" he smiles.
