Raja sahab asking for devis hand in marriage for his son. Ghasita and brother fixing 50 lakhs as the going price for parting with their golden goose. ELsewhere Pranay tells his mom that Tania is the woman he loves (that girl is no where close to being as pretty as lakshmi)

I know everybody's tastes differ, but I thought Tania was pretty cute in her own right.   I think she'd make a great Devi maiya, once the concept is explained to her.  She'll even do a better  job  than Lakshmi if allowed to speak.  As for the difference in appearance to be explained away, just tell the villagers that she's taken a new avatar 😆

Methinks Ghasita should have had her decked up as Devi, instead of bringing her out so shabbily dressed.  But I liked the shocked look on her face when she was asked to touch the Raja's feet.  This was too funny - Lakshmi having to be prompted to touch anybody's feet, since she's Devi!!!  Otherwise, had she automatically volunteered, it might have made a cuter scene. 😆

The high priest chants a very common prayer in Sanskrit that's recited when one is doing the pujas to either Durga or Lakshmi devis, which means 'I bow to you, the Devi of the whole Universe, that symbolizes the eternal power'.  In other words, here, he was praying to the devi, which is Lakshmi here, and Ghasita & Bantoo, among others, fold their hands and bow to her. 🤣 I'd give anything to one day watch Ghasita touch his daughter's feet 😆

Even more priceless than the Raja saab's excuse is Bantoo (thanks for his name, btw) turning and asking Ghasita, of all luminaries, what's mineral water, and him telling him that it's just like any other water 🤣🤣

And should he hang his head in shame in front of the girls father. Pranay walks away dejectedly without giving an answer. His mom asks raja sahab who's the girl he's chosen for Pranay? He informs her that it isnt any ordinary girl but a Devi from a small village. And since her birth the village has been blessed. Pranays mom tries to register her protest to this wedding. She cant believe that raja sahab would chose an illeterate village girl for the educated pranay. Raja shab snubs her and says that hes always made decisions for all the family member and he will continue to do so. It is upto her how she sorts out her son. (Raja sahabs beard is extremely distracting🤢. The guy needs a good trim. I cant believe their situation is so bad that he cant afford a good barber)

The Raja saab looks downright ugly - I wish they had picked a better looking elderly but handsome guy.  Also, did Pranay not figure out that this girl  his dad has picked is the same girl he had met, since she told him that as Devi, she answers a lot of people's questions.  I like the scene of the mom  wanting someone educated  for Pranay, and dad wanting the devi of the village.  And the house post their  marriage will be a sight - will Raja saab want Devi to give darshans to people, like Ghasita, or will Rani-ji want to get Lakshmi up to speed on at least cooking, if not reading & writing?  But I sure hope Rani-ji & Lakshmi have a good relationship, and not the typical saas-bahu one.

But I liked the shocked look on their faces when the Raja told them that he had arranged Pranay's marriage to a girl who brings this good fortune 😆

This is too convoluted & funny - Ghasita having to hide from Suhagi the fact that he arranged Lakshmi's marriage - which is  something Suhagi wants - just to avoid the perception that he's sold her.  Why not do this - ask Bantoo to keep it instead?  Then for a change, listen to Suhagi and pretend to be persuaded by her, and then do everything to advance that.

Incidentally, how does Ghasita plan to explain to Suhagi the fact that Lakshmi is already wearing a family heirloom to whom he doesn't want to give her in marriage? 😕

You really sound like Raja sa'ab himself 😆🤣  Normally, we have the principle jodi rooted for  by the viewers, but opposed by the saases.  But here, you have the FIL rooting for our jodi, and the dulha himself flat out refusing.  But Rani-ji flat out refusing was too funny 😆  What a supportive mom 🤣

Pranay, how about refusing on the grounds that she's a Devi and you are a mortal?  After all, do you really want your parents to touch the feet of your dulhan?

He overdid it somewhat, by telling her that no amount  of money would sway him, and that even if god came himself, he'd not listen.  But it was nice seeing poor  Suhagi smile for a change.  Only problem - her would be damaat hasn't yet acquesced to this proposal.  Somehow, both Suhagi & the Rani-ji  seem to be doormats - they could compare notes

He says that the Raja saab has decided to fast for 21 days, and after that, give up his life 😲 (Pranay, that's the ultimate trump card - you can match that, but not top it!)  Now, if only Devi maiya can sort out this mess 😆
