How industry people have described Anu Malik:

1. Farah Khan, when asked about her favourite music director, said that A R Rahman and Anu Malik's music have inspired her to do her best work in choreography.

2. Shahrukh Khan in an early interview was asked what music he liked and he said 'Anything by Anu Malik'

3. Javed Akhtar was so impressed by how quickly Anu composed the free verse poem 'Sandese aate hain' that he has maintained ever since that Anu Malik can set any words to music!

4. Sonu Nigam said on 'Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai' that Anu Malik was his favourite current Indian composer. On Prabhu Chawla's 'Seedhi Baat', Sonu said that the two Indian composers to have used his voice in the best way are A R Rahman and Anu Malik.

5. Alka Yagnik on SRGMP Marathi said that out of all the composers she has worked with extensively, she has had the most fights with Anu Malik. They have had a fight in every recording apparently. But she is thankful to him because he has explored and used the best parts of her voice in his songs and 99% of her collaborations with him have been superhit. She also said that Anu Malik's music is of very high quality but his restless temperament can diminish that quality at times.

6. Vir Sanghvi introduced Anu Malik in an interview by saying that Hariharan recommended Anu Malik as a great music director.

7. When asked why Anu Malik was chosen for the music of Abhishek Bachchan's first film (Refugee), Jaya Bachchan said 'Who else is there? He is the number one.'

8. Udit Narayan said Anu Malik was a spider-man because, like a spider, he climbs very high, but when he falls, he doesn't feel dejected and starts climbing again!

Isn't it weird how a man that had so much support at one time is now ridiculed so much? Anyway, my best wishes are with him!

I am also thankful to Anu ji because he has helped Sonu Nigam a lot in shaping his career.

Yep, brahmabul! Sonu always adds the extra touch to Anu's compositions, whether in Refugee, Border, Fiza, Main Hoon Na or Jaanemann...

If Sonu Nigam were on the judges' panel again, then Indian Idol 5 would be THE best singing talent hunt! Let's hope he at least comes as a guest judge...

What I like about Anuji is that UNLIKE other judges, he is honest and blunt even if some people may not like it. 😊At least he's not a donkey like Pritam🤢 or Abhijeetda 🤢who praises one contestant and insults the others. 👏

i always luv Annu from the very 1st season of II.i wish farah & sonu also here...but yea Annu is jaan & shaan of the II..in 1st season of II sonu has mentioned that wen he came to mumbai ANNU was the 1st one who helped him to make his carrier & made him to stay @Annu's home..so i think Annu is a great person..he might sound rude at times.but at the same time he appreciates for great talent.

Credit must be given where its deserved, Anu Malik most definitely has contributed quite a bit to the industry through his music. And he definitely adds some spark on the show itself ... some mirch masala to keep the TRPs going. Having said that, you also cannot deny that he can be an extremely melodramatic and a huge pain in the butt sometimes.

Haha yep he can be quite onboxious when judging but this season I'm finding him quite tolerable - let's hope that lasts!

As a music director, he has been very successful and versatile.

As a judge and mentor, he has supported great talents like sunidhi and sonu. We think he is a rude judge, but in real life both Sunidhi and Sonu have said that he gave them a lot of ime and respect during their struggling years, whilst other composers would shut their doors on them.
