Baaji took away sups and mawali.
naku stood standstill tears rolling down her cheeks. she remembers how she pushed dutta towards sups. how she gave him lectures about pyaar. she could feel pain in her heart as she blames helself for all that happen.
Dutta: andar chal.
naku stood still. she has no courage to take a step forward.
Dutta: statue banke kyun khadi hai? andar nahi chalna kya?
then he realises tears in her eyes. dutta could not understand why he's feeling so bad on seeing her crying. he have no control on his feelings.
Dutta: Dekh naku, bhul ja sab. jo hona tha hogaya.
Naku: mere ko maaf kar do sahib. mein bina supriya tai ko jaane, aapko unhe apnane ke liye kaha. lagta hai mein kuchh jyada hi samajhdar ban bethi. maafi sahib.
Dutta: (holding her hands) ismein teri galti nahi hai.
Naku: (interrupting him) nahin sahib, aap bohut achhe hai. isliye aisa bol rahe hai. sach to yehi hai mein hi kuchh jyada hi bol gayi.
Dutta: (taking her face in his hands) nahin naku, tu bohut masoom hain, tera dil bohut saaf hain. tu khud bohut achhi hai na isliye sabko apne jaisa samajhti hai. pae sab tere jaise nahin hote. kuchh supriya jaise or seema jaise dhokebaaj bhi hote hain.
Naku: sahib! (she was startled to hear seema's name from him. she could feel how painful it was for him to be betrayed again in love.)
Dutta: ab sab bhulja, andar chal. tu meri baat nahi manegi?
then dutta goes into the house and naku silently follows him. they enter the hall.
Dutta: ja, ab tu so ja bohut raat ho gayi hai. aaj jo kuchh hua use dil par mat lena.
Naku: sahib, aap thik to hain na?
Dutta: mere ko kya hua? tu supriya ke baarein mein bol rahi hai to supriya jaisi ladkiyon se ab mere ko koi phark nahi padta.
they went to their rooms. naku could not sleep the whole night. she was thinking about dutta's suffering. the situation was no different for dutta. he spent the night thinking about naku. he could not understand why naku had become so important for him? why he could not see tears in her eyes? he was so confused.

Dutta: kyun mein naku ke aankhon mein aanshu nahi dekh sakta? kyun maine itne saalon baad apna ateet use bataya?
