| | | Done with the past: Sunaina Roshan | Telly actress Shonali Malhotra Sonii (Neena of Miilee) is married to businessman Ashish Sonii. But what many may not be aware of, is that Ashish is the former husband of Sunaina Roshan, sister of Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan.
Sunaina and Ashish were married for eight years, till they went their separate ways in late 2000. Sunaina has a nine-old-daughter from Ashish, Suranika. Both live with the Roshans. Moving on
When asked about her marriage, Sunaina was initially extremely reluctant to divulge details. "Why do you want to know about it? I have moved on in life. It's better forgotten. It's a closed chapter."

We are officially divorced; we now have nothing to do with each other. My daughter Suranika stays with me, and I am totally occupied in her upbringing and schooling."
Does Ashish visit Suranika? "Very rarely. Off and on," says Sunaina.
When contacted, Ashish did not want to say anything about his past. "I have nothing to say about it. I am married to someone else and don't want anything to be written about us."
It is learnt that Sunaina and Ashish met through common friends, and wed after more than a year of courtship. About her divorce, Sunaina says, "It's just that we drifted apart. Initially, I wanted the marriage to survive, but things took an ugly turn. It was better to call it quits then. I decided to move back into my parents' home."

After the divorce, Sunaina decided to lose weight. "It's a completely different me now. Even if I gain a few inches, as during Diwali (thanks to all those sweets), I am desperate to knock them off."
Wasn't Sunaina recently supposed to wed US-based Nick Udaysingh? "Yes, talks were on. But later, we learnt some shocking revelations about him. It was better not to go ahead," she says.
