Preet's tendencies: a small observation

As i was typing a reply to hiba's wonderful topic. I was writing something about prem and ash's imcompatibility, when it hit me: Both of Preet's love interests on the show were meant for his brothers!😆 Ash was supposed to marry prem and Meher for harman. Isn't that kind of strange?

very good observation.it is very hillarious that preet's both love interests were his brothers rejections.i used 2 like preet &ash beforesince they were presented in the inital episodes as a funny couple.asha was shown as a beauty without brains&preet was very naughty &sarcatic&used 2 make fun of everyone.

but i always wanted meher &preet 2 be together.when i saw the scene in which preet accuses meher 4 stealing g3's 'kangan' i wished them 2 be shown as a couple &i am thankful 2 the craetives 4 making preet &meher as a couple.
otherwise we would'nt have meet-the sweet couple which had lot of fans.

If I may clarify something about Prem.

Prem never backed out from his promise to marry his father's choice of any girl. It was Ash who rejected him on the Mandap, after finding out Prem loves only Heer.

Harman on the other hand played with Meher's emotions(it's irrelevant whether he's done it intentionally or not) and finally left her on the supposed wedding day.

Sorry, I have to differ on the point about Preet ended up having both of his brothers' rejections. It's only one of his brothers who rejected and that is Harman.

i agree with athisda prem never rejected ash;she backed out on the wedding day. nd i know many hate ash but i liked her before sanchi destroyed the chrcter. she was always in two minds bout everything but never in the case of preet. she loved preet truly nd even preet so i felt it was kinda wrong the way he ditched her at the last moment to marry meher just to prove a point to his father. preet was always a guy to listen to his heart first nd hence i thought it to be a major flaw in his chrcter. of course responsibilities change everyone but not preet as far as i know. esp when he was looking upto meher as his bhabhi all the time. nd none of the members even asked him to marry meher. it was his own decision just to become the 'prem' of the house. i didnt like it nd neither wld prem if he wld have been alive at tht time. so ash s anger was justified esp when we knew how she went against her mother just for preet. but sanchi ruined ash s chrcter by suddenly making her love prem out of no where. it was always preet ash for me.
sorry for going off topic. its just tht i saw a preet topic nd cldnt help but take it out. i loved preet upto prems supposed death nd even during gaurav sharma phase but then it kinda went downhill for me. but i have to agree tht he gave his 100% in proving to be a good husband to meher

But I still wish Preet and Ash were a couple after all of their cute and funny scenes togther. They were a very cute couple. Preet and Meher look nice togther to, but I still perfer Preet and Ash. That's just my oponion. I really do miss Preet and his funny jokes. I just loved his entry in Kis desh, and then how Preet was there when Prem got hurt while playing soccer, and when Prem got into an accident and Preet came runnnig to his brother. I wish Sushant did Pavitra Rishta, at least that way we could of gotten to see more brotherly scenes and more of those scenes where Preet bugs Lallit! I just loved him and miss him a lot! But I also think is acting skills are supberb in Pavitra Rishta. I love him in that serial too. Hope Harshad and Sushant are able to act in another drama together and have the same brotherly relatonship they did in Kis Desh

@athisda by the word rejection @i think tadashi meant(i also understood it in that way) prem was supposed 2 marry ash first.but when prem comes to know about the true colour of manmeet's brother prashant who was supposed 2 marry heer he had a double mind in marrying ash.preet asks prem 2 save heer's life.so when he tries to stop his wedding by getting up from the mandap laallu asks him to sit down since it was his prestige issue.sensing this situation ash refuses 2 marry him.but the movement of disagreement was shown by prem himself.i think the word disagreemet was better than 'rejection'.but the discussion was about preet &his loveinterests &both his love interests being his brother's fiancees.i think it has nothing 2 do with prem or prem's character.
