After the stupendous success of Raajneeti, Katrina Kaif is all set to anchor a new innings as Bollywood's leading female star. For starters, she is playing the lead role in the remake of Seeta aur Geeta, the iconic double role that made Hema Malini a force to reckon with.

A good test of Katrina's growing clout in tinsel town is how she is calling the shots today, when it comes to navigate her career. For instance, it is she who has decided that Anees Bazmee should be helming this project.

Similarly, with Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Kaif is re-negotiating a meatier role in the multi-starrer.

This has ruffled some feathers in the crew of this film because in the recent past Katrina has backed out of several movies, because the role was not substantial. These rejects include Anurag Basu's Silence, Shristi Arya's remake of Bride Wars and Anees Bazmee's Thank You.
A source from the unit reveals, "In Zoya's film Katrina plays a seductress; the role is more about her looks than actual acting.

After Raajneeti, she has received recognition for her acting skills rather than merely her Barbie Doll looks."

The source continues, "The movie features Kalki. Katrina won't want a lesser role compared to her. Zoya has heard her and is making changes wherever possible." Katrina said, "Zoya's film is a bound script with dialogues. There can be no changes."

The Raajneeti success bash is due and people associated with the film are prodding director Prakash Jha to throw a party soon. The tentative date for the movie's success party is June 23, but Jha is not willing to celebrate in the absence of his leading lady Katrina Kaif. The film is already a box office hit and one of the biggest grossers in Jha's filmography. It is also very important for Katrina as this is her tenth hit film. So, it naturally calls for celebration. But since Kat is shooting in Spain for Zoya Akhtar's multi-starrer with Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol, it's impossible for her to be in India now.
