Hey guys!
I was just sitting idle and this idea came in my mind. I thought I'd put it up!

I know I'm no good when it comes to RuMi but I thought I'd give it a shot. Do read and lemme know what you guys think! Your comments will be very helpful for my improvement!

Pioneers of RuMi, Jen and Purva, what dyu guys think?

Chp.1

Bhumi sat before the ornate mirror of the dressing table in her room, brushing her silken long hair. She twisted it up in an elegant French knot and sighed.

What did Choti maa think she was doing every time comparing her with Rani bhabhi? With all due respects, she loved, respected and adored Rani bhabhi, but idolizing her? No, that was way beyond her; it wasn't her cup of tea. Why didn't Choti maa understand that she had an individuality of her own? Moreover, her dear husband also was of the same opinion. He didn't agree with her and he too wanted her to idolize Rani bhabhi. But then Rudr and she hardly agreed on any topic. All they did was just argued.

They had been married before Yudhishter bhaiyya and Rani bhabhi but her married life was nothing as compared to theirs. Yudhishter bhaiyya loved Rani bhabhi so dearly, he couldn't think of his life without her. Their day began with each other and ended with each other. They lived for each other. She had seen the way they celebrated the little joys of life and stuck through with each other throughout the odd times and the hard days of life. Yudhishter bhaiyya stood by Rani bhabhi through every twist and turn of life and still their love for each other remained intact. Despite the tangle of day-to-day distractions and petty differences of outlook, their love for each other was as solid as ever. It rather only strengthened their love and relationship and the structure of their marriage even further. Today, their life was everything a married couple would dream of. Rani bhabhi was soon expecting and Bhaiyya was so excited about it. Not that she was jealous of them, she was happy for them. It was just that seeing them enjoy their married life just made her even more aware of the deep empty pit that their relationship was.

They were just two different individuals who didn't care a fickle about each other but were forced to live together. There was nothing that she and Rudr had in common-except bickering with each other maybe. The guy didn't even know the C of care, the L of love and the R of romance. What did she do to deserve a guy like him? Did he not know that she was as much a woman and her heart craved to feel loved and cared for? The guy didn't even want to give their relationship a chance. Anyways-who cared? She was stuck with him for the rest of her life. There was no way out of this except divorce-which was definitely out of question.

She checked the time and sighed in frustration. She had been waiting for him for the past two hours and there was no sign of him. They were supposed to attend a friend's birthday party and he'd asked her to be ready by 7.00 and it was 9.00! How irresponsible could one be? Enough was enough! If he thought that he could have things his way, then he was highly mistaken.

She adjusted her hair and cursed the day she'd agreed to marry him. Princes from the neighboring kingdoms practically lined up at her palace with proposals for her but maybe fate had it that she end up with Rudr and so here she was, cursing, swearing and waiting for him!

***

When Rudr walked into his room, he saw Bhumi busy on the cell phone.

Back to gossiping, he thought.

He rolled his eyes, threw his tie and jacket on the bed and walked into the shower. 15 minutes later when he walked out, she was still on the phone. How much did these girls have to gossip?

Bhumi just ignored Rudr's presence and kept on talking. Another 10 minutes and he was ready, but Bhumi was still where she was.

"Bhumi, are you ready? We're getting late."

No answer.

"Bhumi, do you hear me?"

Still no answer.

"Bhumi, I'm talking to you," he said slightly loudly.

Nope, no answer.

"Bhumi!"

He strode to her and grabbed the cell from her hands, disconnected the call and shoved it across the room but it thankfully landed safely on the bed.

Bhumi glared at him and ever so quietly said, "Kunwar Rudr, what exactly do you think you just did?"

"Grabbed your cell and shoved it across the room," he replied in an equally calm tone as though that was the most natural thing to do.

"May I ask you why?" her eyes transfixed on him in a dangerous glare.

"Because we're getting late for the party."

"So couldn't you wait till I finished?"

"And then what? Go to the party to bid adieu to the guests, 'Oh thank you so much for coming to my friend's party, hope you had a great time'," he mimicked.

"Oh really? You asked me to be prepared by seven and when I'm ready what do I see? I'm done and waiting, there is absolutely no sign of you and two hours later, your highness finally makes an appearance! What do you think of yourself?" she fumed.

"Well, it's a record if you were ready on time. I said 7 because I knew you'd take two hours to adorn yourself, so it would be wise to give a deadline before the actual time," he replied with a scornful smile shrugging his shoulders.

Bhumi just fumed.

"Anyways, now that you're done, can-we-leave?" he asked. "We can argue later."

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm not coming. You've killed my mood already. So you can go alone. Have a nice time," she smirked.

"Bhumi, you know I can't go alone sweetheart, so now you're being a good girl and coming with me," he said ever so sweetly.

"Oh no, I'm not!"

"Oh yes, you're coming!"

"I said no!"

"I said yes!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"Noooooooo!"

"Yeeeeeees!"

"Who are you to take my decisions?"

"Oh, you forgot?" he asked amused. "It's Rudr Pratap Shishodiya, your husband, Mrs. Bhumi Rudr Shishodiya!"

"Thanks for reminding but I'm still not coming!"

"Fine, then go to hell! Enjoy yourself here and keep waiting for your dear husband to return and act the perfect wife before mom. When Suhani asks why you didn't come, I'll just say you were too busy enjoying with your friends and didn't think it important to attend her party!"

Bhumi was shocked. She scowled, "Okay, I'll come along but you'll have to-"

"Have to what? Don't expect me to say sorry."

"No Rudr, I don't expect a sorry, not at least from a person who doesn't even know the meaning of that word," she retorted. "Just a promise that next time I ask you to join me, you won't refuse."

Rudr scowled, "Okay."

"And don't ever think I'm going because I'm scared of what you said. It's because I can't hurt Suhani."

"I know. An angry Rajkumari Bhumi is an everyday sight but a scared Rajkumari Bhumi? Nah, I can't expect you to be scared even in the wildest of my dreams," he snorted.

She gave a satisfied smile and joined him.

Okay, so now that you guys hv read it, what dyu think? Is it even RuMi-like?
I may continue, I may not' Dunno'.

Tia, my dear (yes, the rhyming is intentional), you better continue with this!
I loved it! Amit aur Kanica ki yaad aa gayi. Miss them and their chemistry.
You've beautifully penned Bhumi's thoughts and frustration and yet kept the witty sacarsm of the duo intact. That's what's RuMi's about and I hope it remains all throughout the FF...no pressure!
PS - Hmm, the yes-no game sounds familiar!
PPS - Would you stop calling me a RuMi doctor already! I know nothing except what I know (which isn't much)!

I think in this story you are trying to explore the imperfect relationship, this will be much more interesting and fun.
I mean the YuRa relationship is too lovey-dovey and perfect. It's a fairy tale romance which is not realistic.
